Meinl Percussion ES-R Plastic Egg Shaker, Red

She was only 5 mo old when I purchased this egg shaker and as soon as I unwrapped it and gave it a shake she was interested in it. Currently the egg is too big for her to grab with one hand. I do believe this egg has helped her in the two handed grab. The size is perfect, no worries that she can swallow it and as soon as she gets a bit older it will easily fit in one hand. I am for sure buying another for my cousin baby shower that is coming up. The 'shake' sound this egg has is a very nice sound. I got a red one and I blue one and they are truly primary red and blue.

What can you say about a little plastic egg with sand in it. You shake and it makes noise. For $2 its a good buy, but you can always make your own by taking an empty water bottle and put some sand in it, or pebbles, or rice, whatever you want to give it a different sound.

Great shaker for musicians, but be advised, if you're going to let a young child play with this, it may not remain intact! I thought it was supposed to be "laser sealed" or something like that, but my 3 year old cracked it open by chucking it in 3 days time and teeny tiny beads went EVERYWHERE. Sigh. My mistake.

AWESOME!! I've been searching for egg shakers like the ones we use in our music class so my son can "practice" at home. These are heavy duty. The ones I've found at the store seemed to have a thin shell. Between my kid and the dogs, those would have been done for in a short time. These are hard on the outside, shake beautifully and clack together musically.No complaints.

I bought this along with some other musical instruments for my nephew for christmas. He is 2 years old, and this little plastic egg shaker is prefect for his small little hands.

A cheap plastic egg shaker. Nothing spectacular. Gets the job done if it's what you want. Good for kids, I suppose.

Love these egg shakers! They are great. Definitely compare to the ones used in the music classes we have taken. Okay for $2.19 or as an add on, but also available at guitar center for the same price in all colors.

These are a great toy for musically inclined little people!! My son got to play with these at the library, and he loved them so much I decided to get them for his birthday.

These are pretty good - small, allowing for different effects by cupping or relaxing your hold. Not very loud but as they are the size of an eg........I use two together (one in each hand) which gives more flexibility and sound/ rhythm options.

My daughter loves these Meinl percussion instruments, they are the perfect size for her and are made to a high standard to withstand the beating my daughter gives them.

First impression...looked and felt cheap and plastic. Sound wise though, after some experimentation, really very good especially at this price. It was just what we needed for our little acoustic gig.

Nach sehr schneller Lieferung habe ich sogleich meine 12 bunten Shake Eggs ausgepackt. Ich setze die Dinger in meinem Frauen-Spaß-Chor zum Rhytmus halten ein und auch die Damen waren begeistert. Absolut fairer Preis und angenehmer Klang. Natürlich nicht so warm wie bei den Holz-Shakern, aber für Plastik-Eier absolut top. Und die Farben sind schön knallig!
