received a USED item!! Not NEW
Package arrived on time. Packaging was open and the bracket has clearly been used already. Paint rubbed off from use. Not happy to pay full price and get an USED product. :-(

Just as good as the original
I had to buy an additional receiver mount because the original was not taken down at the end of the season and the tree started growing over it so I was no longer able to remove it from the tree. This Receiver mount is just as good as the original one that I got when I purchased the tree stand. There is no differece in the quality of product that I can tell and I have been using this one for 3 hunting seasons now.

I prefer the chain over the strap
I use the receiver mount with my M100U stand (awesome). A receiver comes with the stand. I ordered a second receiver when I ordered the stand. The receiver I ordered was the ratchet strap one as opposed to the chain. I thought I would like the ratchet strap receiver better but I don't. I have since ordered two more of these (the receiver with the chain) and really like them. Seem easier to use than the strap and I feel more comfortable with a chain holding me in tree as opposed to a strap. It is easy and convenient to have receivers installed at multiple stand sights with climbing sticks and lifeline and just move the stand from one to the other.

and excellent design. I got the chain model because I ...
The reciever is of a high quality, and excellent design. I got the chain model because I have had issues with squirrels or other hunters damaging woven bands left on a tree. I was able to mount the reciever and lock it in place in about 3 minutes once I was up in the tree. I'm giving it 3 stars because the overall system is not exactly what it's billed to be. If you are in a forest with trees that can occomidate a climbing tree stand, than that's the way to go. Getting the stand up and into the reciever isn't any easier than mounting a strap on stand. Plus you need some pretty good clearance around the stand to get it to slip in correctly. Little branches can really limit where you mount it. If you are on a budget, get a light strap on, if you can afford it get a climber and a hand saw.

Best millennium receiver
I prefer this type of receiver versus the ratchet strap style. This is easier to hang, and is Rock solid. It does not have to be extremely tight against the tree as long as you use a strap on the bottom of the stand (you should always do this regardless of which receiver you use). I have 3 of these and will continue to buy more.

which I love. I prefer chains over straps for leaving stands ...
I use this with the Microlite stand, which I love. I prefer chains over straps for leaving stands in a tree more than a couple of days. Squirrels and porcupines can be ambitious gnawers if there is something on the strap that attracts them. Chains let me avoid that worry. This unit, however, comes with a quick link which doesn't allow it to be cinched tightly to the tree. Stick with the strap that comes with the stand and inspect it well before getting on the platform.

Upgrade from the ratchet straps.
Replaced all of my ratchet strap brackets with these, relieves worries of squirrels chewing through the strap or UV exposure issues. Just as easy to use as ratchet style, In my opinion, and just as solid once set.

Best price I could find.
Preparing for next hunting season. This is exactly what I expected and enables me to hunt several different spots with my M100u stand.
