Meh!
Product is not what was advertised. It is not Le Brun, it is La Tour Orfevrerie and I do not think it is made in France as adevertised since it is not stamped as such. I have bought Le Brun products before and they are much better quality than this.

Big disappointment
This flatware is very cheap looking and not very substantial, to say the least. They are extremely lightweight and the ivory handles look like cheap plastic. The set belongs in a cheesy picnic basket and not on a table. In addition, the teaspoons are very small...more like the size of an espresso spoon. This flatware was not advertised as bargain basement, but certainly looks like it. Probably the biggest disappointment of anything I have purchased on Amazon.

CHEAP and horrible
We were very UNpleasantly surprised that anyone would import this junk from france...or that a company would even make or market something lacking quality...the photo really does make this product look WAY better than it actually is....the packaging was also surprisingly nice for such junk....this was like packaging your dirty socks in a nice wooden box....this set should be pulled from the market and not even offered for sale it's just that crappy.

Love the Set
Love the set, but just be aware the small spoons are really small. Overall lovely set. Purchased for our Mtr Home.

Fine as extra flatware for parties, picnics
I ordered two sets of this flatware in the ivory color, to have 12 place settings for use when we have large potlucks or other gatherings. I didn't order it as our everyday flatware (which is Dansk and much heavier-duty). Given the price (purchased from a different closeout website, for about 1/3 less), and after reading the reviews here and there, I anticipated that it would essentially be the quality of nice picnicware, and that's about what it is. Reviewers for other colors of this flatware have noted that it's not particularly well machined and I agree; there are burrs in the stainless steel here and there, the bowls of some of the large spoons and the insides of the fork tines are are a little rough, and the point of attachment to the plastic (resin?) handle is a little crude. But the quality of the machining is nothing you'd usually notice while using it during a meal, as long as you accept that this isn't meant to be fine flatware. It looks better than it really is; and it's fine for the purpose I have in mind. It's nicely designed visually; the large spoon is quite large and suitable for use as a soup spoon, and it dresses up the rest of the set. The small spoon is indeed demitasse size. Well, OK; Europeans aren't known for big puddingy desserts, so this goes well with an espresso and a piece of dark chocolate. Or a cup of tea. I would not pay more than about $50-60 for a set of 24, but that's a decent deal for a set of six place settings and will allow us to stretch our existing flatware for a crowd with some style, and without resorting to disposable plastic flatware from the grocery store. Will go well with our Heath dishes and neutral table linens.
