I have an older home that has no ethernet. My goal is to run ethernet to a few key parts of the house, mainly office and living room where the router is. The problem I was running into was that I needed unusual sizes of cable. I could of course buy the cable I need but then the length would be too long and I would likely end up cutting it anyways since its best not to have excess cable (this is less important with cat6e, but I didn't want to pay extra for that). It also wasn't cost efficient to buy all of the different sizes. This cat6 cable is the same quality of the other brands, its easy to cut and shape and the white color blends in perfectly where I will have some cable semi exposed. This provides more than the length I need. Yes, its a little more work to make the jack points myself, but again, for custom length, this is the best solution. Plus with the leftover I can use it for other projects or buddies looking to do the same and maybe make some coin in the process ;)

I'm starting the project of wiring my house and adding ethernet alongside the pre-existing coaxial cables. This CAT6 plenum cable is very easy to work with. The cable feels very study, thick, and durable. It's rolled well and is easily pulled out. The box is sturdy with a useful marking table for tracking use. For testing purposes, I quickly made an 80 ft length connection along with two 10 ft cables to connect from the wall to the devices, and the signal quality is great. It's functional and perfectly connects my PC to my router from across the house.

It pulls perfectly and works exceptionally. But the outer jacket is little looser than I am used to. When cutting it with Klein tools it slightly rips not separating perfectly. So when you put the connector on you need to make sure the outer jacket dosent get snagged and makes it all the way up and inside the connector. After noticing this I was quick pay attention to how I inserted the cable and it was nothing more than a slight adjustment to noticing where the tear/snag would be, so as to properly shove it into the CAT6 connector. With all that said it is great stuff and ya can't beat the price!!

First things first, delivery was fast and the package was well packed. Now I bought this to run a couple lines through out my apartment to APs and my roommates rooms. And when it comes to the cable it's solidly built but at the same the insolation was easy to cut through with a proper tool. I tested each cable, of course, before putting them into place and each one tested with flying colors. Since this is plenum rated I put a small section under my lighter and it didn't burn up instantly. I don't have the tools or the interest in fully testing the heat resistance but I seems to pass. All in all, fantasticly built cables!

I used this Cat 6 Ethernet cable to wire a mattress firm, and it performed perfectly. Fast, stable connection with a solid, durable build. Easy to install with a snug fit. I received the CAT6 Plenum Cable 1000ft from category six cable from the NewYork Cables Store through the Amazon Vine Review Program. This seems to be good network cable. I made a few lengths, and it worked well for me. There's a lot good about this cable. It has printed length markers and make it easy to keep track of your length and how much is left in the role. The box feeds up the cable smoothly and it doesn't tangle. The cable feels a little thicker and some other ones I've worked with and this may be because it is copper clad aluminum. Because aluminum conducts electricity less well than pure copper, you need more aluminum to make up for the difference.. Stripping and terminating the ends was straightforward, and the color coding on the pairs is clear and consistent. My setups is pretty simple. I like wired connections between devices as much as I can rather than wireless. I think a wired device is just can I give you more reliable and consistent speeds compared to wireless . The data transfer speeds on my cable tested very well. It’s plenum rated, which is important if you’re running cable through air-handling spaces like drop ceilings. I definitely use these spaced run cables in house, so technically I need to use these plenum rated cables. I do recognize that there are some drawbacks to copper clad aluminum cable. unless these are made different. They don't handle repeated bends as well as pure copper , and you can technically have some oxidation issues on ends that are exposed to air . Obviously it's too early to tell if something like that will happen. Right now all is good. The ends are pretty well encapsulated in the connector so I don't really see how easily they could oxidize. It is also said that copper cables will handle Power over Ethernet better than copper clad aluminum wire so that's something to keep in mind depending on your use. This is advertised as solid core cable and my rating for it as that, is a 5.
