I love it
Bought this a couple of years ago, it is so good, i decided to leave a review on the spur of the moment. It is designed to sit on a counter top, not drop into a space like some others. We actually left our old gas stove there for storage in oven and bottom drawer, got a nice piece of plywood, and made a nice top to sit over the burners. This heats up food fast and nice, without the top getting real hot like regular cooktops. Easy to clean.A dedicated circuit is best, but we plugged it into a regular socket and when both sides are working together, supposedly the one on the right doesnt get as much electricity, but we didnt notice a difference. The left burner has finer heat turning, but both sides work great.

Great to use, easily and quickly cooks your food. You need a magnetic bottomed flat cookware.
Great product! I had it sitting for a bit before I would use it, as it seemed so foreign to me! I realized how silly that was after boiling eggs this morning, as it was very simple, and accomplished the task very easily and quickly. It beats any other method of boiling hands down, so very surprising. Next Iโll try cooking and boiling other food, and try out using both burners all at once. Iโm using the Tramontina Signature Tri-ply clad stainless steel cookware pots that I purchased here on Amazon, and they are pretty perfect. The pots need to have magnetic bottoms, and best to have them flat at the bottom to cook well. I look forward to using my Duxtop LCD portable double induction cooktop, and thrilled to have it!

Modern Solution
Okay, what do you do when the house you just rented still has the original 1959 stove that was installed when the house was built? You try it out, and then you get a Duxtop Induction hot plate! We were tired of waiting and waiting for the old heating elements to reach temperature, so we ordered this modern solution of a two-burner induction cooktop and set it up on top of some ceramic tile. Since we had already checked our everyday cookware by seeing if a magnet would attach to the cookware and it did, we knew our pans would function with the electromagnetic elements just fine. What is important to know is that while the burners can handle a larger pan, say a 12 inch skillet, the burners will actually only heat up the smaller circle area. Do your cooking knowing this, and just move food around in the pan appropriately. For example, if frying chicken youโll put pieces in the center, wait for them to brown up, then move them to the sides and fill the center with more pieces, that sort of thing. The whole pan will be warm, but the center will have the most heat. Also important to know is that the temperature control feature works great! No more wondering if the oil is going to be hot enough to fry stuff. Set it to your desired temp and the burners will maintain it no problem. I love the โkeep warmโ feature, too. Itโs great for when Iโm done making a skillet supper with hamburger and macaroni or something and people arenโt ready to eat yet. Best feature, of course, is the easy clean-up of just wiping away messes. Nothing is going to burn onto the top of the glass. This best feature can also be an annoying feature, however, because if you miss any bits or donโt clean off any soapy suds, it will show up and youโll need to go over it again with a soft, dry cloth. Not a drawback, just something to know if you have a mother-in-law coming over for inspection.Overall, this is a great product that offers instant satisfaction. Itโs also portable, so if youโre RV camping and have an electric outlet to use as part of the hook-up, you can cook on your Duxtop. Or say youโre needing an extra burner for Thanksgiving or something. Works great for that. As a reminder, it is a 3-prong plug, so be sure you have that kind of outlet available. Nice product.

Solid performer; No replacement parts available.
Excellent overall 2 burner induction portable cooktop. A bit of a learning curve to use but worth the small time invested. Used effectively in place of antique gas stove in current rental property. Huge upside: much healthier indoor air than even a new gas stove would produce. Downside: no replacement parts are made or sold, and even if you do something minor like crack the glass on the top of it you have to buy a whole new appliance. I dropped a butter knife from 2 feet above it and it cracked the glass. The manufacturer says itโs not safe to use with cracked glass so I had to order a whole new appliance. Still overall very satisfied with it after two years with the first one. After reading current reviews, I see no better two-burner induction cooktop on the market than the one I bought two years ago so I bought the same model. Wish it had a grounded cord and a longer cord. Very attractive, relatively quiet compared to others Iโve seen. Nice angled controls. Excellent value for the money.

Love the responsiveness of this cooktop!
We needed to replace a broken gas oven/stove and didn't want to get another gas model, since there is so much talk about it being bad for your indoor air quality. Not to mention that we want to move away from using fossil fuels. The cost of a new electric oven/stove combo - and the upgrade to the outlet that it would have required - was prohibitive. So we decided to get an electric cooktop and a small Breville oven/air fryer. The cooktop was fine for a while, but as we all know the heat on an electric burner is not very adjustable. When one of the burners malfunctioned, we decided to invest in the Duxtop portable cooktop. Should've just bought that in the first place! It's super-easy to operate, water boils in three minutes instead of 15, the heat is as adjustable as a gas flame, and it's MUCH easier to keep clean than electric burners. If it holds up for at least five years (I hope longer), it will be well worth the extra cost. Sure, it might seem like we are living in a dorm with our little oven and portable cooktop, but we're able to do everything we want to do with these appliances.

This makes cooking so much easier and accurate
For three years, since moving into our new home, I've complained about how unresponsive and hard to cook with our electric range was. I dreaded cooking, in fact. Then a friend recommended an induction stove...WAY too expensive tho. However, I found this portable ,2-burner induction top and fell in love on my first try. They heat evenly and cool off quickly, and I loved how most of my pots and pans worked with it (the metal bottoms that responds to magnets.)There are two things to be careful of, however:1. If you have this plugged into an outlet that also controls your toaster oven, (like a "friend" of mine had,) and/or microwave, ANDyou try to use all three appliances at the same time, you will blow a fuse. Been there, learned that...that is, my friend did.2. The second thing to be aware of...which they do warn of this in the manual, is not to use it on top of your electric stovetop. BECAUSE, if you do, then accidentally turn on your electric burners, while your pretty, new, portable unit is sitting there, not heating at all, you'll soon see black, smelly, smoke coming from out of nowhere and filling up your kitchen. Then, when your smoke alarms blast you into the next room, you'll notice that your new induction stovetop has melted all over your electric stove, looking like an electric lava flow. Such fun to clean up. Agghhh! AND, your friend will have to buy another new induction unit. It's a costly and ghastly error that I'll never make again...I mean an error my friend will never make again. She feels really stupid and has put tape over the control knobs of the electric stovetop. Because by now she couldn't possibly cook or even live without this great invention.

A compact size & simple interface make this Duxtop an affordable & powerful tool.
When I moved into my home about a year ago, there was no range. I decided to go with a 5th burner for a while, but it became evident that I needed two burners. I was watching some youtuibe cooking show where they were using an induction cooktop on a kitchen island, so I decided to see what was available. This Duxtop is the right price and gives great value. I love the display, functions, and compact design. It gets up to heat pretty efficiently, and keeps my cast iron pans singing with audible warnings if the pot comes out of contact with the range. I use it daily to cook breakfast sandwiches, soups, stews, stir fry, and lots more. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a lot of cooking power without taking up a whole corner of your kitchen to do it. Now, I just need a better toaster oven to even out my game.

Power constraints limit usefulness of 2 burners, warning for pet owners with e-fences
Don't waste your money. Because it uses a standard wall outlet and can only draw a certain amount of power, I cannot boil water on one burner while starting something else on the other at medium or even medium-low heat. If I had thought through the electrical constraints logically, I would have just gotten a 1-burner unit that would take up less storage space. Also, the power boost to boil water doesn't work. I use the temperature control instead and turn it up to the maximum temperature, 460 F. This is the only way to get 6 quarts of water to boil for pasta in a reasonable time. I couldn't figure out why it was taking 30+ minutes to boil water using the "boil water" option until one day I took the pot off and the LCD screen flashed that the surface was hot and about 240 F. At that temperature, it will take about 25-30 minutes for 6 quarts of water to boil. Increasing the temperature using the temp control significantly reduced the time. On the plus side, I've had it about a year now, and it still works. It will boil water if you use the temperature setting, and it is nice to be able to select the temperature you want to cook food at. If you mostly cook two things at medium/medium-low heat than the 2 burner unit might make sense for you. Final thought for pet owners: induction cooktops use electromagnetic something-something to cook, and this can set off electric fence collars on dogs and give them a shock (essentially, if they get too close, it is like getting close to the fence line). I always triple-check that they don't have the fence collars on before turning on the cooktop. This is also a problem with electric vehicles!

Great unit
I got this as an addition to my gas stove, and I love it. I can boil a can of soup inside of 3 min, heat a tempur pot of vegetable oil in 10 min, and I can drop the temperature with complete control. The fan was loud when I first bought it, then the volume level went to an acceptable level after a few uses and now I barely notice it. Overall I'm quite pleased with this unit.

Perfect for small spaces and AWESOME!
This stove in my tiny apartment was exactly what I needed. The heat is evenly distributed plus I don't have to worry about fire hazard or anything like that - especially as I'm not the world's best cook! I love all the digital prompts, lights and settings that enable smooth management of the burners. The stove looks classy and solid in it's make which mightn't show in the attached pic as I'm also not the world's best photographer - lol. I selected this Induction Stove after reading through all the reviews on several alternatives and I couldn't be more satisfied with my choice; worth every cent!

Love love LOVE this cooktop
Am preparing to redo my kitchen and i heard it can be a nightmare and take longer then expected. I have an ensuite and had a kitchenette built in for me, company whoever visits so it allows choice of food prep. By adding this cooktop, it will just add to their choice of eat in/out and preparation .... i have been using the cooktop daily since receiving and lately i just walk by my old ugly kitchen - at least for now until the destruction/renos are complete.I had concerns at first cause advertising shows the cooktop to be smaller but it is definitely not - perfect size - fits large pots x2 and again no regrets with this product - will likely continue to use even after my kitchen is done.
