Great product, great quality

After a ton of researching and comparing different German and Japanese sets, I decided on this Zwilling 7-pc set. Counter space is a premium in my home so I opted for the magnetic strip instead (some of my foodie friends said that might be a better option to retain blade quality too).Right out of the box, you can see and feel the quality of the blades, and after cooking with them you’ll fall in love. If you are option for the German-style blades you’d be hard pressed to find a better blade than Zwilling Pro. The balance combined with the sharpness of the blade makes your meal prep that much easier. Best purchasing decision I’ve made in a while!A note on the 7pc versus a larger set: if you are primarily doing home cooking, you really don’t need a larger set than this, and the strip included has plenty of room to expand if you want to get additional knives as your needs change. Maaaaaybe a larger butcher-style knife if you are doing that sort of food prep but if not all your bases are covered with this set.

I have reached out to the company and am hoping for a resolution. I did not receive the magnetic strip and it looks like the item I received had been previously returned. The knifes look is good condition.

Fantastic knives.

I love the knives. They handle great and have a solid edge. I sure these will last long enough to pass down in my family.The only thing that didnt go well was the Amazon courier lost the first set. Then the second seemed to be lost but I got them 2 days later.

What a difference between this pro series and their next line down (which is also good). I am incredibly happy with these knives. In fact this was one of a series I bought to make the whole set.

We have only been using this set for a couple of weeks, so we can't speak to the durability of the set but our initial impressions are all great. We did extensive research before choosing this line of knives and then chose this particular set because getting a larger one was out of our budget. The knives feel nice to hold and are nice and sharp. For example, it is no longer difficult to cut raw sweet potatoes, even with the precision needed to get thin strips for french fries. The shape of the chef's knife makes that specific task even easier than otherwise. Time will tell how quickly they lose that edge.We were a bit hesitant about the magnetic bar because neither of us has used one before but it is plenty strong and the knives feel secure on it, as does the honing rod, in spite of its round shape having minimal contact with the magnet. So far our main disappointment was that it didn't come with hardware for mounting the bar. Zwilling sent us a replacement magnet but it didn't have the mounting hardware, so we bought some ourselves.
