Follow the instructions Amancy provides with this humidor. I researched several methods of breaking in a humidor, and many suggest wiping the inside with distilled water. I did NOT do this. Amancy suggests not to. I think the break in has a lot to do with which climate you live in. I did exactly what the instructions said to do, but had difficulty getting the 70% humidity maintained. I believe why, is the fact that I live in a "High Desert" climate in Idaho, and the humidity here is generally about 20%, VERY low humidity. After putting the box thru 3 break in cycles, I added another pillow pack and also was using 'Propylene Humidor Solution' which I highly recommend, as well as keeping the room temp down to about 70 degrees or lower. I also tested the humidifier that comes with the box and it was spot on. Did not have to adjust it at all. Now the % is perfect. The box is made VERY well, I don't see how you could get a better value for the money as this box. Very handsome.

I like the way it looks. Its very unique style & it's holding humidity. This seasoned up real easy,just wiped down the walls & floor with propylene glycol. Then left a shot glass with the propylene glycol inside for 2 days and it was 80% by the time I added the sticks in the photo. I believe that it would work distilled or purified water. I have a friend with black leather chairs in his lounge so I'm going to get him one and might get another myself.

Just as nice as some costing many times more. Are there nicer ones to be had? Sure. And they will set you back the price of a car payment, lol! I like having the digital RH meter thrown in already but the dial is pretty close. Even with the glass top I have no issues keeping RH. I only keep about 25 or so premium cigars in it . Some individually costing more than the humidor. Season it right and use a Boveda pack is my suggestion. Been working with wood for about forty years. Never wipe it down with distilled water and Don't expect that a shot glass full of distlled water overnight is going to season it. The wood has to be super dry before it can be used to make the humidor. That took time. It will take time to slowly raise the humidity back. Boveda recommends throwing in an 84 RH pack for two weeks before putting in your cigars and then using the correct RH pack from then on. I didn't have an 84 on hand so I used the largest glass dish I could find that fit and filled the bottom with distilled water. Over a week later I was satisfied and took the water out and loaded in the cigars. Two weeks later without a Boveda pack in it, it still had 70% RH. Soon be in heating season and Boveda pack every 3 months should do the trick.

It arrive timely and it is very stylish and well made. It is very classy and would recommend. It took me about 3- 4 weeks to deason and add about 6 cigars at a time to ensure i stay around 62- 65 due to my husband likes his cigars a little dryer so he will have less of an effort to pull.

Nice, tight seal and enough space for the 20 or so sticks I keep. Looks really good on my table. Gotta say I love the smell of the ceder. Owned if for only a week so I don't know if it's holding the right humidity. But so far it's terrific.

This is a very nice looking humidor and excellent value for the price. Displays my cigars nicely. Packaging was sturdy and well planned to protect the box and glass. It came with a built-in analog hygrometer as well as a spare digital hygrometer. The directions were clear. I would recommend using a shot glass full of distilled water when preparing for the first use. I had to add water each day for the first 2 weeks until it would hold humidity well. I add a dropper of water weekly and any time I add several cigars to the box. I would recommend this as a gift for a first time or spare humidor.

I like everything about it. It has a very cool style to it and the fit and finish is excellent. Seals up tight. Holds plenty of my best sticks and keeps them fresh. I use a Xikar humidifier gel can. And it keeps 70% humidity as required by what cigars I have. Love it!

I love this product the fact that it comes with a digital humidor gage (don’t know the word for it) is great. Keeps my cigars at a consistent humidity level and looks good doing it. The craftsmanship is great quality and the price is very affordable
