Trail King 2.2 Protection Apex Faltreifen // 55-559 (26x2,2')

Per Amazons usual shenanigans you have no idea which tire the person is reviewing. I purchased the trail king for my rear and cross king for my front on an old diamond bike mountain bike. I purchased the 26 x 2.2. The trail king is the best tire I have ever had. It clears mid extremely well along with extremely good sand and rock face traction. The cross king on the other hand is terrible for trail riding, it has trouble gripping anything but a flat hard surface and if you go through mud... well the tire becomes a slick.

Got these for my Trek EX8, and I love them! The black chili compound is very grippy and adds lots of traction over loose dirt, gravel, mud, and roots. Plus, the sidewalls are very thick, which gives me added protection on deep skinny trails. The locking bead was really easy to seat, and I have not had any air leak out of them so far. I would highly recommend these tires for anyone who rides rough single track and wants extra grip and puncture protection!

Looked like a great tire for the rear wheel of mountain bike. Since it is tubeless it is too difficult to install when using a tube. The bead is so tight you need a vice grip to hold the tire in place while you struggle with it. The tire was faulty as it is not straight and wobbles side to side.

I bought these tires specifically for riding gravel/ trail routes. Yesterday I rode on a not-so-well maintained rails to trail. The tires went through thick gravel, large rocks, and pot holes. I am very glad I purchased these tires. Worth every penny!!

Veteran MTB rider since mid 90s. Quality materials and construction throughout. The tire is impossible to mount. Extremely tight fit and I am dreading my first flat on the trails. I lost 4 tire levers during install. I've upgraded to steel core levers because of this tire. Good luck.

These mountain bike tires are well worth the price. They are awesome on trails, and bite into the dirt better than any tires I've tried before. Get a set of these and ride on rough trails with confidence.

I've had these many times in the non-black chili compound for quite a bit cheaper and never had any problems. This black chili compound current set (2.6x2.2) has a noticeable wobble in one tire when mounted and it's not the bead not setting fully, it's the tire.... Running it anyway on the rear of a x-country commuter mtb. Irritating for the $$$$.

Den Reifen fand ich super für mein altes MTB mit 26“ aus 2013. Das Rad hatte recht schmale Felgen, so dass ich maximal hier die Breite von 2.2“/2.25“ bei den Reifen nutzen konnte.Zuvor bin ich auf dem Rad Nobby Nic gefahren, der Continental Reifen hat mir jedoch deutlich besser gefallen was den Grip betrifft. Allerdings muss ich fairer Weise sagen, dass ich im gleichen Atemzug auf Tubeless umgestiegen bin.Ich würde diesen Reifen jederzeit wieder kaufen. Allerdings finde ich die aktuellen Preise sehr hoch.

Sin duda una de las mejores llantas qué hay, excelente agarre en piso, terraceria y aún no me ha tocado lluvias o pisos mojados para probarla! Pero si tengo 2 cosas que no me gustaron mucho, 1.- intentar ponerlo en el Rin es un dolor de cabeza, a pesar de ser plegable y llegar plegada, las cuerdas laterales son súper duras, casi rompe una de mis espátulas park tool, y tuve que usar unas chinas de plástico con núcleo de metal, vaya, no son mías así que tuve que pedir prestadas para montarlo, 2.- Por la misma parte de estar duras de las cuerdas, igualmente es un detalle que para que quede bien puesta en modo tubeless hay que ponerle jabón al Rin y tener compresor e inflarlas con 130 psi de fuerza para que se alinee la llanta con Rin, y con cámara, no se alinea, si intentas usar cámara, no te lo recomiendo. Es demasiado dura la cara para que pueda alinearse, actualmente lo uso con unos rines XTR R26.
