I am 6' and 185 lbs, and I normally get large sized jackets. Amazon was suggesting I buy x-large for this coat. But I went with a medium, and I'm glad I did. It fits perfectly and still plenty of room for layering. The jacket seems to be high-quality and looks great. Also, it was delivered in a just a few days even though it was international shipping.

An excellent waxed cotton rain jacket. The day after it arrived we had a pounding rain storm and I wore this jacket to the shops. It is perfect, fits very well and is large enough so I can wear a heavy sweater as it gets colder. I am very pleased.Edited: I want to add a bit about sizing here. I worried a LOT before actually buying this jacket and decided to buy an Extra-large to be on the safe side. I have broad shoulders and a 44-46 chest. I decided that it would be VERY important to be sure this jacket would be large enough under the worst case scenario. Now in the winter season, I know my decision was correct: I will be able to wear a heavy sweater beneath this and be comfortable during the cold, wet rains and snows of Maine's winter. I think a Large might have been adequate, but barely. My advice is to be brutally honest with yourself when you order. This is a foul weather clothing item and in that bad rainstorm I wore my jacket in the first time, even with a sweatshirt and t-shirt beneath the jacket I felt the cold of the rain. I am sure that will be the case in a deep winter rain/snow storm, and the just a bit extra room of the Extra large will make that extra thick sweater feel so much better.

I actually LOVE this jacket. It's unique and stylish. Waxed canvas is unique, great for cool or even cold misty and rainy days. Zipper is on the wrong side (Brits!), just like the driving over there, but it's actually kind of fun. And very high quality for the money.But, it's NOT waterProof, in a good rain you'll get wet. My biggest knock on it is that the sleeves are a little long and are really don't taper at all toward the end. The cuff is six inches up inside the sleeve.It just feels a little weird. But don't believe most of the reviews that say it runs small. I don't know what those folks are smoking. I usually get a men's large or XL depending on the brand. Based on the reviews I got an XL. Way too big. I sent it back and got a large - still too big. Sent it back and got a medium, just right. I'm 5'10", about 210, wide shoulders.

I am 6'1" tall and weight 190lbs and ordered size large. This is the most odd fitting jacket I've ever purchased. The sleeves, chest and shoulders fit perfectly, then it bells out like a skirt. It fit like it was made for a person with a 42 inch chest and a 48 inch waist. Makes no sense.The waxed cotton feels rugged, but is so over waxed.I was able to return the item with minimal fuss and the seller seems to stand by their product. It wasn't what I wanted, but the overall experience was positive.

Very well constructed, appeared as in photos and very fast shipping. Zipper high quality but takes patience to line up. 6’2”, 245 lbs and xl fit perfectly. Was a Lillie lining pull on one sleeve, but easily fixed. Well waxed. Would buy again. I have a Barbour jacket in a different color. Similar appearance, but significant price difference.

smelled of mold and was way too large, like 2 sizes too large. Returned and got a refund, but I am out of the original shipping charges. Avoid. (This is my second attempt at posting a review, first one was blocked as it never showed up)

Always wanted a B brand waxed coat but was too overpriced for my budget. Needed a waterproof coat for the upcoming raw weather and a down jacket under a B brand quilt won't do. I measured the other size small against the sizing guide and got my usual size small, same as the other brand.The coat arrived in two days via DHL. Amazing.Coat felt heavy for just a shell and lining. The sleeves were almost perfect, whereas the other brand was almost two inches too long. A slim fitting coat this is not and buyers should know that if you know anything about these coats. I plan to layer it with a lightweight down jacket and it did the job. My only problem was the length, it was longer than an old ll bean parka in medium. Only by an inch or so. Therefor it will be used during extremely raw, wet and cold weather. As intended. If they offer a shorter length, I would snap that up. Overall I'm very satisfied.

For the money it cant be beaten, the quality of manufacture is excellent. The sleeves have a comfortable woven cuff rather than the usual cloth and popper closure. The only niggle for me is it could do with a zipped pocket on the inside but this is a minor issue. Keep up the good work.
