More expensive, but worth it in Improved comfort and long-lasting maintenance free use.
I got this to replace an old Lafuma. I couldn't imagine summer without being able to really stretch out (I'm 6'2") and feel completely relaxed. This new one is longer and wider, with more cushioning; has an attractive, high-quality black coating. It's light enough to easily shift from one spot to another.. plus, It came fully assembled - all I had to do was lift it out of the box and it was good to go.

The most comfortable and well-built chair
I bought this LaFuma XL Air Comfort zero gravity chair. I chose it in extra-large size with padding for my husband for his 65th birthday. He's not a big guy but he sure appreciates the extra room. The padding is high quality and very comfortable. He lasted about 20 minutes and he was asleep on the deck. He loves it! It folds up nicely for storage. It's very well built. I wish I had one for myself. It's not the cheapest but it's worth every penny.

Back gives out
I have purchased several LaFuma chairs to do Reflexology, as this chair brings the feet up higher than most other zero-gravity chairs. It is also rumored that these chairs are well-built, and I need them to be sturdy for clients. With my last LaFuma, the back suddenly gave out while a client was sitting in it, after having the chair for several years, so I purchased this updated, padded version of the LaFuma chairs for over $300 with tax, and after a year & a half, the back of the chair suddenly gave out while a customer was in it. Because of Covid, I was not taking many clients at all, so this chair had very, very little use in the time I had it. For $300, I definitely did not get the value out of the chair. I see other zero-gravity chairs for a third of the price, but fear they may not bring the feet up high enough for my needs, but I would be tempted to buy those if it was just for my own use. I can say that I have had the Lafuma chairs with webbed material, canvas material, and the newer padded versions, as well as laced-up material attachments and the clip-version of attachments. If you were in the chair for a very long time, you might prefer the cushioned version, but all have been very comfortable, and I have clients that come in stating that they've heard about my chair & the comfort of it. Zero-gravity chairs are nice, but I definitely did not get my $300 worth of value out of this one. They state there is a 5-year warranty in the description on Amazon, but when you try to get information on that, they say to talk to the seller; and when you go to the seller, they say they may only recently have started selling it, and you have to go to the manufacturer. I am on hour 3 of trying to get any assistance on the warranty, and after 45 minutes of being put on hold by Amazon Customer Service, to see if the warranty will cover any of it. I am currently submitting on-line emails to the manufacturer. Meanwhile, I need a chair immediately for my clients, and will have to purchase something, as I find support of the products is very tedious, and very likely non-existent. Because LaFuma touts the durability of the chairs, I am disappointed in my purchase.

Really nice chair
I bought this chair while rehabbing an injury that I had to keep my foot elevated above my head. I bought this one because supposedly it goes higher than others. It definitely does and is super comfortable to sleep in. There was a slight defect with the material but I'm still giving it five stars because the seller 100% made it right by me with a small refund. I think for the money this chair is probably one of the best out of the bought trying to get comfortable

Worth the price
I tried this chair in a rented holiday house. It was the first time I ever fell asleep in a chair. Normally not a back sleeper, but it was very relaxing. It is not cheap, that is why I looked for good rated alternatives. I ended up sending them back. They were or too small, not padded, different zero gravity position or it was difficult to change position without holding on to something. I still think it is pricey, but do not regret the purchase. It‘s perfect for napping and a good size for my 6 feet. I hope it will last me a while.

The weak link
It was nice while it lasted. Almost 3 years. And it was bought used from Amazon resale. The rivet that attaches the back of the armrest to the frame busted. That’s the weak point. But it is lighter than all the rest. I use these recliners a lot. The cheap ones wear out faster and are heavier etc. Sooo spend more for quality that lasts longer or replace cheap ones more often.

It's A Great Chair
This is my third zero gravity chair. The first one was a Lafuma. This was years ago, and I had to let it go during a move. The second one was purchased from a hardware store. Don't recall the brand. It was OK, but not great. Now, this chair is the real deal. Sturdy, comfortable. A great chair for napping. If you're on the fence about this, I say get it. You won't regret it.

Comfortable chair but difficult to use
This chair is comfortable, large, and reclines more than any I've tried. But because of arm and leg weakness, I couldn't lock the chair into a position or get out of the chair on my own. I would not buy this if you are physically disabled, recovering from surgery, or weak for any reason. It's too difficult to maneuver. Also, when I returned the chair days after receiving it, I was promised a partial refund $145 and given many different reasons why- including that it was the wrong item.

Absolute Empfehlung.
