I picked up the Continental Malgudi 500g pack to keep my morning filter coffee routine steady, and it delivers a warm, familiar cup every time. The aroma when you open the tin is pleasantly roasted and inviting, and the decoction it yields is full-bodied with that classic South-Indian bitterness that mixes beautifully with milk. It’s forgiving at different brew strengths, so whether I make a strong cup or a milder one for guests, the flavor stays consistent. Packaging kept the powder fresh on arrival, and the 500g size is great for regular drinkers. It's a decent brew for this price range. Not sure how people make it at home specially one who have given bad reviews. I use mokapot and it turns out awesome.

Love the aroma and raate... Best...

We have been using this product for the past year because of its quality. However, the most recent batch we received was very disappointing. The blend does not seem right, there is hardly any aroma, and the taste is almost completely absent. After making the decoction, it even smells burnt. The entire package is now practically unusable. Very disappointing compared to the quality we received earlier.

This smells and tastes burnt, yet it is not too acidic. It’s smooth, beans hold heavy moisture and due to that it doesn’t feel fresh, the packet was puffed and felt like a balloon. This is not upto my likings and taste. But it feels pure and that’s why I have given 4 stars. Comparing the price to its quality it is worth it.

I got this to use for my filter coffee, but the taste not as expected! I tried the same brand with 70-30 ratio in india &that tasted better than this.
