Luxico Clear Safety & Security Window Film (Anti Shatter Glass Protection) 76cm x 4 metre roll

Arrived on time; very clear instructions; excellent value for money and great peace of mind knowing that the children will not be harmed by glass paneled doors at the front of the house. The film has developed blue spots where some dust/dirt has been trapped underneath - looks like snow has fallen and stuck to the glass. But this is a small price to pay for the knowledge that the glass has been made safe and I will continue to apply the glass safety film to other items (the loft hatch has a glass panel and will be made safe in the unlikely event that it falls shut and shatters - something a visiting plumber managed to do a few years ago). Highly recommended.

A bit fiddly to put on but very effective.With practise this is straightforward to apply, but be aware you may have to have a couple of goes to get it right. Smaller windows are easy to do but larger windows need several pairs of hands.That said we have just seen it in action as the wind caught the door this was applied to and smashed it against some shelving. The glass broke in 5 places and deformed out of the door but the film held it together perfectly.

This item came in a roll in a strong cardboard tube. I haven't applied it yet but I recommend also purchasing the 5-way trim tool which comes with far more instructions on how to apply the window film than this item did! There are also videos on YouTube showing how to apply this film.

Instructions could be better but does the job required

I purchased this when my son moved into a house that needs some work doing. It had a old glass door in the hall which was not toughend glass. With a young toddler I wasnt going to take any chances so I bought this and fitted it. Fitting was fairly straightforward although be carefull not to run your finger down cut edges. It took me about 45 minutes. in the event it was not the toddler that had an accident. A guy came to fit his Sky network and while fitting it tripped and fell against the glass door. The glass broke but the film held the glass in place and although the guy had a bruised elbow I fear he would have gone through the door and been badly injured without the film. Can not praise this product highly enough.

This was a good buy and covered two glass doors. There was enough in the pack to allow for one mistake. The hardest part is removing the first part of the film. Went on smoothly and you would not know it was there.

poor instructions

The local glass merchant wanted £100 a door to replace the original 1960's full door obscured glass with safety glass and then we would have to repaint the frames. This worked out at £11 a door and no repainting. Having seen our 2 year old grandson charge around it is money well spent.Take time to clean off and old paint well (a little extra fine wire wool does the final cleaning off the edges a treat). If you trim it over size the edges will lift. Trim it with a 1mm clearance and it goes on easily.Money well spent for peace of mind, especially the kitchen door opening onto a tiled floor
