Viola, Odorata Sweet Violet - 50 Seeds

Fast shipping and great germination. Viola seeds can be difficult to germinate. These seeds germinated in about 6 days in the dark. Put the seedlings under the lights once up and they took off.

Violets used to spring up everywhere. I loved them, and was delighted to see that some of them piggybacked on a fern I moved with me when I moved. But then, I moved again, and the violets did not survive. I have so missed them.I ordered the seeds, and thought they hadn't arrived. Actually they did arrive in a simple little envelope. I was going through my mail today and there they were! I immediately went out and planted them next to my friend, the fern.My apologies. The seeds were not lost in the mail. I just didn't look closely enough to see who the sender was.

I bought from this brand because of the detailed info provided in their ad. Many of the seeds germinated inside, a few plants survived hardening off and transplant outside. This is to be expected. When the first flower bloomed today, I discovered that it is not the all-purple sweet violet shown in the photo. Instead it has some yellow in the blossom, like a pansy. I'm very disappointed.

I planted these seeds indoors, and as advertised about 80% of them germinated. I have moved them to a container outside, still in their seed starters. However, they are very slow to grow, not having secondary leaves after a month. I hope that this is normal for this plant, as I have never grown violets from seeds, but they do not look happy.

I love it and want more, my ugly brown garden was wild with beautiful violets blazing in the areas where nothing would grow.I love it!

These seeds are starting to grow. I love violets! Next spring there should be lots of violets blooming.

Planted all seeds and they all came up and are growing great.

I purposefully ordered Sweet Violets. I wanted to make sugared violets.The flowers are beautiful, but they are Wild Pansies/Viola Tricolor -NOT- Sweet Violets/Viola OdorataDisappointed
