I was ALWAYS complaining to my friend that my tea was always getting cold esp when I’d make it then we’d start talking! Well, problem averted for at least 30 mins of the WAY TOO HOT mode to the JUST RIGHT MODE, ending in well, let’s throw some ice in and have ice tea! It’s a great product and does hold a pretty good suction hold on top of cup.. and if you’re going from fresh out of tea pot hot, to just right to drink mode.. It gives you approx a 1/2Hour to do so.. Once you’ve taken the lid off and on often, the heat has gone out on its own.. I do not only recommend these for that reason, but it also helps with any spills that might happen carrying it to and from places. That and they’re so darn adorable! ( esp for Pink Flamingo enthusiasts!!) DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Cant beat that. I ordered 6, so when I’m traveling, I can bring one with me for tea making!:-)

I purchased these to cover drinks while sitting on the patio and it does that well. I am impressed by how well they stick to the cups and sometimes use it to cover a drink to put it back in the fridge.

This lid made ALL the difference! I used it with my Mr Coffee mug warmer. It kept my full cup of coffee/ tea just as hot as when I brewed it. It does create condensation so be mindful when taking the lid off. As the amount of beverage decreases, you may want to remove the lid to prevent getting too hot, and keep at a good drinking temp. If you like it very hot, it will be perfect for you! The silicone is lightweight and thin; suction holds the lid on and heat in. Also, the little flamingo is very easy to pop into the insert on the lid.

As others have said, these are not lids to keep liquid from spilling, but there is a fair amount of grip/suction and you need to remove it from the side. I think they're well made, do the job and were reasonably priced - and a flamingo!

I bought these because they are flamingos, and I wanted a silicone circle to cover my cup when I am steeping tea. I could not find one I already have at the time, so I ordered these. The silicone is very thin. It does its job in covering the cup and being cute, but definitely that's all. Doesn't seal to keep from spills or anything, which I saw some others advertised as doing.

Quality silicone that’s easy to wash, holds its shape and does its job. The silicone is so perfect that it creates an air tight seal on a glass cup with suction that isn’t easily broken unless peeled from the side. I love the design and the cute little flamingos

This product proves that not always the higher costs reflect better quality. There are descent manufacturers who are striving to compete by presenting products with superior quality at the expense of a lower profit margin. This product is one of them, I believe. I'm going to order a few more sets to give away as gifts.
