Campbell Essential Biology (5th Edition)

As you might guess, I bought this for a college biology course. I think it is one of the better science textbooks I have come across so far; everything is explained in easy to understand language, there are tons of illustrations and diagrams, and the text even repeats some of the more complex information more than once in a chapter (in case you didn't understand it the first time). It is well organized. Rarely do I read the supplemental "fun fact" type stories in textbooks but the ones in here are very interesting and actually add to the rest of the material.

I needed this book for my Biology class and my school only sells the binder back which I do not like. Even though I knew I would be paying more for this book and the access code, I still think it's worth it especially since I bought it using my gift card balance that I earn gift cards from various websites and apps. The book is exactly like the binder back and the plus side of it is I received about $70 selling it back to my bookstore which I know because of the access code price, I wouldn't be able to get that much from a student unless they just wanted a physical book like me and not the binder back or ebook. I would love to give it 5 stars and will admit it's the lack of the access code preventing me. I knew the access code wouldn't be in it, but it would be awesome if it was.

This biology textbook for a Survey of Biology course is a great way to start into the journey of exploring life at all levels. It has an overview of all topics essential to the beginning biologist; Photosynthesis, The Cell and just enough chemistry to make the concepts understandable. Though not a student of the class, this book is helping me prepare for 200 level college biology classes.

I paid 88 dollars for this used book that is highlighted, marked over and underlined on almost every page, that gets confusing when I need to make my own notes. I will leave partial of this situation to be my fault because I should have just bought a brand new one for the same price. I didn't know that at the time so I will just have to accept this purchase for this semester.

Usually, I don't like purchasing textbooks but I have a good feeling about this one. No one likes having to buy all of their books and find out that only half of them are being used at all. No worries, with science it is almost guaranteed you will use it daily. Very informative and like every textbook, you're going to have to dig around for answers.

I was hesitant about buying this textbook because I had registered late for classes this semester, but since I had already lost out on two previous copies, I went ahead and purchased this textbook. Unfortunately, I was not able to get into the class, so I contacted seller after the book was already on its way. Unbeknownst to me, you have to go through hoops in order to return their books back PLUS get charged a 25% restocking fee, which I thought was outrageous. So for those who are not sure whether to buy books from here, don't make the purchase unless you are 100% positive that you will need it.
