Ledmark Heavyweight Cotton Canvas Outback Duffle Bag

This is a very well made and tough canvas duffle bag. I was very happy with the product. However, it may not be good to use as a check in item. It got ripped during my flight from Detroit to Nashville. It had a big hole when it came out on to luggage belt and some of my things had fallen out. I was really upset about it. I used this bag as an extra bag for my trip for souvenirs. It looks like it got caught on something and just ripped. See the picture

This is the perfect size for a carry on bag, like the one that you would put in the overhead compartment on a commercial airline. I have taken it to Mexico and Las Vegas while flying, but I have also taken it on multiple road-trips and overnight stays. It is good quality and durable. It is the perfect size for me and it is great because it can fold up to take less space if you do not have it completely full. That makes it easier to pack and also easier to fit in tight spots when you are on an airplane or in a car with limited space. It is a nice looking bag as well, although I did add some patches to mine because I like that sort of thing. It is a pretty specific looking duffel bag, so you don't have to worry much that someone will have the exact one while you are travelling. It cannot hurt to personalize it a bit just to be safe though.

It isn't a nice bag. After a year of light use the stitching on it started to frey and come loose. The zipper would get stuck on the loose string, so I would find myself cutting it after I use it a couple times.Ive had this product for two years, at first it was great, but it doesn't hold up after multiple uses.

the first trial run with this bag included nearly 140lbs of saltwater fishing gear. At one point in the trip we needed to create a field repair on the boat, we suspended this bag, while full, by the handles to pull two objects together until we could get back in-shore.Other than the strings from assembly of the bag, this thing is strong as hell.

Did a lot of research to try and get a good safari-type duffle for my vacation. Only now packing up to go away and this is the first time I have used the bag. As I have been putting clothes etc in the bag it has split badly down one end seam, rendering the bag useless. Very poor quality it seems. Very disappointed as on paper this looked a decent bag.

I work out of town and I take a lot of stuff with me when i do. In a years time I spent over $100 on 3 different duffle bags. 2 of them tore, one near the handle, one near a seem and one the zipper broke. I don't use my bag Just once in awhile, or on vacation a few times a year. I use my bag every day, and let me tell you most bags are not made for everyday use. With the exception of this one. I bought this bag a year or two ago and let me tell you they say "Super Tough" and they're not joking. It still looks like the day i bought it. The thing is a beast. The zipper on this thing is one that i can guarantee will never break. If the army is not using this zipper for all their zipper needs then they should be, because nothing is going to stop it from doing its job. The handles are beefy and go all the way around the bag so you could fill it with rocks and the bag would never tear. The shoulder strap could double as a tow strap and will last till the day you die. I laugh at all the people in the airports with their cute little carry-on bags with the wheels that always seem to take two people to cram into the overhead compartments. I guarantee I can fit more stuff in my duffle bag and because it's not shaped like a box it fits into the overhead where other carry-ons won't. I do however feel I need to mention the one Con. This bag is just a bag, there are no other pockets. At times i really wish it had one for those small items you don't want to get lost. But hey what good are pockets if the bag is a piece of trash and will only last few years. I would much rather have a quality bag without the small convenience of a pocket that will last a lifetime. Part of me wants to get another one of these duffles in case they ever stop selling them. But in truth I doubt the one I have will ever wear out.

I needed something for travel that was easy to store. And, I wanted canvas for the durability. I've used it for airline travel, and car travel. I've even used to carry laundry--holds 3 full loads. I bought this 18 months ago, and it's still going strong.

This duffle seems to be made of nice durable materials. It holds quite a lot (I just took it for a week's tropical vacation) and the zipper is durable enough to close the bag, even if the bag is a little stuffed. The handles and strap appear well-made, and are comfortable to carry.My only concerns regarding the bag are in the construction. There seem to be a lot of loose threads around the bag. I haven't seen anything that looks like it is going to tear loose, but I don't think I've ever seen a bag with so much loose thread. I am hoping that it holds.
