A delightfully illustrated board book of things to look for, spot and talk about at the seaside, on a shopping trip, in the garden and other outings. Little children will love exploring each busy page to find the green tractor, the longest caterpillar, a stripy fish and more. A book to share that will help with word, matching and number skills. Review: Love this book! - Great book! Love all the color in the pictures/pages. My kids love looking at this book and finding all the things. Not a one-time book. Great for long trips or staying at home. Review: Love this book. - wonderful book. my 2.5 year old son has loved this book for the last year and I think will still love it for another year or two. The pictures are clever and cute and he will study a set of pages for a few minutes at a time without losing interest. :)

The "Very First Book of Things to Spot" series came highly recommended by several Usborne reviews I found on YouTube
I bought this for my two-year and 18-month-old sons. The "Very First Book of Things to Spot" series came highly recommended by several Usborne reviews I found on YouTube. The book includes prompts for the parents to follow, like, "How many little bears are there?" or "Who's wearing yellow boots?" My two-year-old really enjoys this book and can sit on the couch for an hour with me, looking for different things. Sometimes I follow the prompts, and sometimes I make up my own questions. The illustrations are bright, vivid, and cheerful. While my 18-month-old doesn't answer many of the prompts, he can name different animals and enjoys looking at the illustrations. Not only do I enjoy this for my children, but I like that it encourages more parent-child interaction.

Fun book engages in lots of ways
Graphics are colorful & simple but there's plenty to see and talk about w questions to help guide observation, cut-outs here and there that add to a sense of play. Favorite books get "read" over and over -- and this one appeals to a range of ages,

Good for very little one sto engage in critical thinking
Very useful and pleased with my purchase. Has some questions listed on each page so parents get the idea of what things to ask, but parents can make even more questions. There are fun cut outs, bright colors, and scenes that spark imagination. I will use this book with a 2 year old as a way to assess and enforce learning of counting, colors, words, etc. Also - all these scenes are unique from the original Very First Things to Spot book and in fact, I will use them together. My only complaints are at that, the board book pages are a tad thin so don't expect them to withstand baby droll and chewing or bending... and the images are cutesy/childlike which could cause some confusion as to what their real counterparts are but usually the connection between the two can be explained (like bunnies have long ears even though the overall silhouette is odd). Overall, I love how these books helped my son start answering questions orally and proved to me how my son understood the complex questions being asked to him - it was really a breakthrough for us.

Great book
My toddler LOVES these books and learns a lot from them. We started with "Very first book of things to spot at home" and we read it so much, we had to buy this one too!

My Kids Are Obsessed With These!
My three year old and 16 month old both love these spotting books and they have become a part of their bedtime routine. After buying the first one and seeing how much they loved it, we bought the rest for them. They're pretty durable too. I really hope they make more of these!

A firm favorite
Cant recommend this book enough. This is my son`s favorite book, although he also likes the other books in the `very first book of things to spot`series. Each page has a concept and has a lot of objects and things going on that keeps your little one interested for a long time. it`s been a year since we`ve bought it and my son still loves it and and learns from it.

Best book for angaging toddler
Usborne books are great for toddlers. Bright beautiful pictures book is truly angaging. There are different questions given on every page and little one has to spot that thing. The best part is that you can make your own questions too. Your child can learn many different concepts through the book. ( colour, shapes, patterns, emotions, similarities, differences, vehicles and many many more). Though the book is little expensive, it justifys even single panney spent on it.

Kitap çok harika. Hem çocuğa sorular yöneltiyorsun. Baya sayfası var. Çok kalın karton değil ama sayfaları karton. Biz çok sevdik. 5 yaş kızımla severek okuduk.

Stunning book, would give 10 stars if I could.
I can't say enough good things about this series of "Things to spot" books. Usborne are just so clever! I bought the first (there's 3 currently) when my daughter was about 18 months, and the others followed shortly after. Every page has a theme, and they cleverly use cats, dogs, mice etc (as well as people) to illustrate the theme. There is often a mouse on each page, so we play "where's the mouse?". Then as she got older we could talk about which colours were on which animal, or count the cats. My daughter learnt the difference between happy and sad from the illustrations, and started to reason as to why something was sad. I really would recommend this to anyone with a toddler. They are great for learning words, colours, animals, places etc.
