Good lights
These replaced 500 watt halogens in a church nave. They work fine and throw at least as much light.

Sufficiently birght illuminates the lawn like daylight.
Impressive. I purchased two and was surprised how much they light up the driveway and even out to the road. My old halogens were nothing like these. I can work out in the yard like it's daytime at any hour! I have a small front yard but they are very decent bulbs, if you own a mansion get 4 and you will probably be fine! The color is very brilliant, almost dazzling to look at them, All I can say is I definitely don't miss the color of the halogens, these bulbs are fresh, modernizing, and at night they make the lawn sparkle.

GE Ultra Bright LED: Shine Brighter Than My Future
Listen up, fellow nighttime wanderers and clandestine garden gnomes โ I've stumbled upon the holy grail of outdoor illumination: the GE Ultra Bright LED Outdoor Floodlight Bulb. Let me regale you with my illuminating tale. Picture this: the moon's on vacation, the stars are playing hide-and-seek, and my old outdoor floodlight decides to take an early retirement. Panic ensues! I embark on a quest through the depths of the internet, dodging dodgy reviews like a ninja in a minefield. And lo and behold, I unearth the 250-watt variant of this radiant gem. Fast forward to installation day. With trembling hands and a fervent prayer to the electrical gods, I screw in the bulb and flick the switch. Holy light show, Batman! It's like the sun decided to crash my backyard barbecue โ ONE bulb shines brighter than a million fireflies on a summer's eve. The neighbors? They're probably convinced I'm hosting a rave for nocturnal wildlife. The cat? She's plotting revenge for disrupting her nighttime prowls. But me? I'm basking in the glow of my newfound luminary prowess. And let's talk energy efficiency โ this bulb sips electricity like a posh socialite sips champagne at a garden party. My wallet's doing a happy dance, and Mother Earth's giving me a virtual high-five. If you're in the market for a floodlight bulb that'll turn your backyard into Times Square on New Year's Eve, look no further than GE Ultra Bright LED. Just be prepared to field questions from confused UFO enthusiasts and requests from local airports for dimming options. Thanks, GE, for brightening my nights and turning my humble abode into a beacon of hope in the darkness!

Very bright
I've been using this as a grow light for my tomatoes and it's worked well. It has a wide enough beam for me to use on a set of 9, 1 foot tall, plants. The beam can get a bit warm so don't place too close to your plants. I burned a few leaves when I had it only a few inches away from more mature plants. That close was fine for seedlings. I would suggest at least a 6 inch gap for larger plants. Also, it's pretty heavy which might not matter for your use. It's too early to tell about longevity but it seems well made. I would definitely buy this again.

Working well as a plant light
So, the GE plant light you can get that is the same rating is the exact same bulb. I ordered that $40 one first, but it didn't fit my lamp so I returned it. Then I tried this one because it said this one was a little bit shallower. This one is half the price of the other one, and it's the exact same bulb. The measurements on this listing are a bit inaccurate, it's definitely deeper than it says. I ended up getting a new hood for the lamp, and that worked well. I've had this running every morning for about 4 hours for my houseplants, and so far it seems to be working well for them. It is EXTREMELY bright, of course, so make sure you have the light positioned away from any walkways so nobody is blinding when walking in the room or by it. It can definitely burn delicate plant leaves if it's too close, I have a white fusion calathea that was about 2 feet away from it, and it started to get singed after a couple days so I had to move the plant further away. The aglaonemas seem to be loving it, though, as does my hoya. Save some money and buy this one instead of the upcharged "plant" light.

Fabulous flag pole light.
Bought this bulb to replace my flagpole light. I thought the old one was good, this one is great! My 40 foot pole is no challenge for this bulb. Lights it up as if it were two feet away. I will not hesitate to buy another when this one fails.

Last a long time, and quite bright
I put one of these on my exterior flood lights and never turned it off for about 3 years. It eventually burned out. We also have a lot of thunderstorms and lightning where I live (South East U.S.) In the interim, I had replaced the regular lightbulbs a few times. I bought two more of these so i now have one on each of my two outdoor flood light fixtures. I will purchase more. They are heavy duty nd last years. (I leave them on day and night)

Bright Bulb
Incredibly bright bulb that illuminates my entire back yard. Seriously, you could play tennis at night with a few of these well positioned around your court.
