Are these knives dishwasher safe?

These knives are qualitative and recommended to use them in the kitchen and in connection with the question YES, they are safe in the dishwasher.

Are these hollow handles?

They are absolutely hollow. That said, it's a great set if you don't abuse them, especially if you catch on a sale. FYI: They don't seem to hold a sharp edge and must be sharpened often.
