This is my favorite product in this category, and best value for the price. With regular and dedicated but not obsessive use I see significant results. I've shopped around - I have used other items that didn't make an impact at all. This one is easy to use and choose the setting (do read the recommendations, as some settings can be too high and leave a slight - not permanent in my case - burn). It's pretty quick too, and covers decently sized area. I travel around a lot but love this item enough to make the space in my carry on for it for all long trips!

I'm really glad I bought this product. I rated this a 4 star out of five, I rated it down for a couple of small things but before I go into that let me give you some background. I'm in my late 40's, female, with fair skin and dark hair. I'm ideal for almost every type of hair removal product on the market. Prior to purchasing the MiSMON I had a fair amount of experience with professional laser hair removal on both large and small body parts, on my face and body. I also have multiple women in my family who have had professional laser hair removal done on multiple body parts. In case you are unfamiliar with the difference between this product and having it done professionally I will say price, effectiveness and risk are different.So let's get into the product review. The hand held device is easy to use, light weight, and comes with clear instruction. A couple of things that I noticed and marked them down for was that the instructions did not appear to have been written by an English speaker. This can be off putting because it makes one feel as though the product may be cheap or unsafe however I'm happy to say that is not the case. I also marked it down because the power button can be tricky to turn on sometimes. I do love that it is quick to turn itself off when I drop it or improperly handle it. (Be sure to keep your protective eye wear on just in case though). You know the device is ready for use when it lights up green, my device does will not flash unless the green light is on which only happens when it recognizes it is firmly pressed against my skin. I took a photo so you can see the light is not green and therefore will not flash when it's pressed against my spread-out fingers. I also tested this on other surfaces and got the same results. This can be a little frustrating if you are trying to do an angled body part but it is a safety feature so it's doing what it's supposed to.I started using this device in June of this year, and followed the instructions provided for how to prep my skin, which setting I should use, and frequency. On my legs I was pleasantly surprised that the reduction in hair growth occurred quickly and noticeably. I also tried this on my face, arms, and bikini line but had to deduct from their overall rating because so far my legs are the only body part that seem to respond and that has slowed considerably. Now I just do spot treatments on my legs but I haven't gone back and tried other settings on my face or bikini line to see if a different setting would help.A couple of other things worth mentioning: When I had professional laser hair removal done it was always in a package deal of 6 - 8 treatments that were specifically spaced out to hair growth cycles into consideration. They also required me to verify that I had not had sun exposure, had used sunscreen (even in the winter). They also required that you not wax your hair, always shave, and they asked about certain medications (I believe this is due to some medications make you photo sensitive and scarring can occur as a result, they will not provide laser services to people on certain meds for this reason). I was surprised that these things were not in thoroughly stated in the MiSMON instructions.Last thing...I'm pretty sure this product/company is FDA approved, if not specifically this product then something similar, but I did not see that listed in their product information. If they are FDA approved for this device I think they should update that information so customers know.Overall, I'm glad I got this, I will continue to use it where it works and get professional services on my stubborn areas.

I’m really confused by all the amazing reviews. I’m not impressed with this at all. It takes 30 minutes for me to do both my legs, and I’m only 5’2 and petite. This maybe helped slow growth in my armpits, but nowhere else. I had laser hair removal at a med spa over 5 years ago, so I thought this would be good to touch up. I swear it’s actually making my leg hair grow faster. I followed all the instructions and have the paler skin, darker hair, which is more ideal for this. I don’t recommend this at all.

I used this on the lowest setting and I got burns! The first photo is about an hour after use. The second photo is a Week later. The burns left darker marks on my skin where it damaged my skin! I’m trying to get them to fade but no luck so far! I have fair skin and dark hair so I’m fit to use the machine. I even used the lowest level setting! I’ve never left a review for a product in my life, but I wanted everyone to know about this. I’d be super skeptical of purchasing this!!!

This does work, but it does take a long time. You have to be patient. I have been using this for about 8 weeks now on my upper lip and chin. I have noticed a difference in hair growth. I have less hair that needs to be tweezed than I did when I started. I also do not need to use every 3 days like I did when I started. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Just don't buy this thinking you will see immediate results.

So far seems to be pretty powerful device. I have noticed a slight decrease in hair growth on arms and legs. Will know on more time how long it last.

I have 0 shots left in the cartridge after 5 uses? The counter said I had like 290000 and then just switched to 0? Was happy with it until this happenedUpdate: The sellers have contacted me and sent a new cartridge.

I have and have had a few areas with stubborn hairs that I do not like to shave most notably my Adam's apple and side burn areas where I used to cut with a razor, but this one has a few "gotcha's" to know about.Whatever method they used for skin contact detection is less than wonderful. Often I'd have to place the IPL head somewhere that I did NOT want to treat to get the green ready LED's in the head to light and then go back to the area I wanted to treat and the LED would miraculously work.When that did not work cleaning the mirrored surfaces with a cotton swab will more often than not get the skin contact sensor(s) working. Failing all of that, FIRMLY pressing the head onto the skin will work also. I "GET" that they did not want some clowns pulsing light into their eyes from poor skin contact letting light escape but it really can be a problem if you're just wanting to be done. Which is another issue... don't bother if you do not have time to dedicate to it.Now to the efficacy and details of using the device.Some claim it's ineffective but I suspect they're impatient and gave up before seeing results, did not experiment with different settings, or did not have a sample area they treated regularly alongside an untreated area to compare results.That said, in my experience it WILL remove MOST hair permanently and what hairs seem stubborn using this regularly will force some into growing back very, V-E-R-Y slowly.
