This is a wonderful children's bible. Easy to read and understand, verse by verse.

Great! She reads it all on her own. She is advanced in reading for 6, (She does 2nd grade LA work as a homeschooler) so if not I’d say about 7-8 year olds would be perfect to read it independently.

Easy to understand, very bright and fun to read! My 1st grader loves it

Font is large enough to read the text easily, paper quality is good, and many illustrations and explanations help the child to be interested in what they are reading about :) NIRV translation is great for early readers.

We buy these for our Sunday School and all my kids started out with this Bible. Simple to use and definitely good for those learning to read. I’ve been buying this Bible for kids for almost 20 years best one for new readers

I know the Bible would be huge if the print was large but it would be nice if it was a little bigger. Since the Bible is for my 7 year old it should be okay - but with my old eyes it is a strain to read it. I guess I will need to get some reading glasses. It is a nice Bible, great pictures and I think he'll really enjoy reading it. One thing I had looked for in the review section before I purchased this was if Jesus's words were in red. They aren't - in case you are wondering too.

My youngest is 6 and ending his kindergarten career in 3 months. Needless to say his 1st Toddler Bible just wasn't cutting it. He was soooo excited to see this come in and loves all the colors and pictures. It really is great for kids and is on his level when it comes to reading and understanding. I cant wait to dive onto this with him and I love how he will be able to learn books of the Bible. Definitely more interactive and keeps him interested.

I strongly recommend! I'm a kindergarten teacher at a private school. I bought one for each of my students as their graduation gift. I challenged my secret agents to read the Bible on their own because I knew they could. A couple days later, a parent emailed me telling me she found her daughter asleep with her Bible on her chest. So sweet. It's so worth it! I will do it again next year. It's a great way for children to develop a hunger for Gods word at a young age.For example, instead of the word "portion" in Psalm 73:25,26, it said "everything I need". Perfect! It is not dumbed down at all. It's the most complete Bible I've seen for children. I'd even say up to 5th or 6th grade. They may not like the cover...so just put cool duck tape around it.
