WICKING DOESN'T WORK / DON'T RECOMMEND
Both of my dogs which are tiny in size have to stay indoors during the harsh winters where I live so are trained to use pads.I've used the disposable kinds (before realizing that fabric pads have been around forever for human use) as well as two other fabric type brand pads made for dogs.Thought I would give these ones a try because they are the same size and mainly because the ones I usually use are double the price for one pad. They are nice and large and overall well constructed BUT.... Not impressed at all with these and very disappointed especially after all of the positive reviews I read.Unlike my other regular pads these don't lock in odor. One pee and it stinks immediately. Think of a litter box that hasn't been properly changed for a goodly amount of time. The wicking process is barely there. With my regular ones(not sure if I am allowed to say the brand name but I purchase them here on Amazon if my pet supply store is out of stock. They look almost the same I'll say that much.)the urine is wicked into the interior layer immediately ie immediately dry to the touch. These stay wet for at least an hour before being damp to the touch. Also the urine rapidly spreads due to the low wicking quality. Basically you'll get one use and have to wash the pad right away. I was hoping that after a few washes they would improve because I have run into that before however no.. After your dog relieves themselves the urine spreads so fast that its unavoidable for your four legged friend to leave the pad without urine getting on their paws and then onto your flooring. Because of the lack of the wicking time I wouldn't recommend these for crate travelling, actually for crating period because your dog will be standing, sitting or laying in their urine. Trying to think of a situation that I would/can recommend these for and unfortunately I cannot. I'd highly suggest paying the price for the other ones that look almost identical.

Life saver!!
I have been using these pads daily for 5 months. They work great, always absorbing liquids very quickly and not leaking out. They don't retain a smell after washing, and always come out like new. I am literally washing these pads daily to every few days depending on how many pads I am cycling through at the time and how often my pup is using the pad. So far zero fraying on any of the pads, mind you my dog doesn't chew or suck on these pads. They have been an amazing investment and I am super happy to have them. They have saved me tonnes of money in buying and using multiple blue pads a day (plus the shred factor with the blue pads). Plus I am not throwing out bags and bags of blue pads into the garbage. Can't say enough great things about these pads, I highly recommend them.

Got these for my cat
I have a 17 year old cat that no longer wants to use the liter box. She started to pee right in front of it, so I put down puppy disposable pee pads. I had to change them 1-2xday or she'd get cranky, and I felt they were a mess and bad for the landfill. I bought this two pack five months ago just to see how she felt. She LOVES them. She will go on it immediately, and I only have to change it every day or two, which gives me some breather time. I wash it on its own in the washer with detergent and an oxy stain remover. If she's peed on it three times it can be something fierce. It comes out clean, and doesn't smell. I haven't had it leak, or cause any issues. I only need two, one for peeing and one in the wash. I know it's meant for dogs, but cat pee is way worse, and I'm very happy with the switch.

The pads work well and look good too
I just received the pads. I set them on the wood floor but I put an old bath towel under the pads so they would slip less. My dog is house trained but she hates it when I leave her home alone when I go to work. Her revenge is to pee in the house when I’m gone. I’ve been using disposable pee pads but she kept missing the pad. I tested it today for the first time and she peed on the pad. So far, so good! The pads are also much prettier than the regular pee pads... it’s less of an eye sore!

Truly terrible – don't waste your $$
Let's start off with the good: these wash well. That's about it.When it comes to absorbency, I truly believe that a sheet of paper towel would work better as a pee pad than these. My dog pees on it twice and these mats are done and need to be switched out. My pup isn't big, mind you – he's an Italian Greyhound puppy and weighs all of 13 pounds.Save your money and get something more absorbent.

Help, they SMELL after washing
I love how my dog took to them right away (she’s 9lbs). I bought these to replace the disposable pee pads (it REALLY bothered me how much garbage they created!!). They didn’t smell at all...until they came out of the wash....I was upset to see there were NO instructions in how to wash them except on the label it says no bleach. So I Googled it and warm water was what others recommended. I pulled them out of the washer to find they stunk like dog pee! It was honestly so gross!!! If I’m not suppose to use bleach then what do I use? I used detergent and I don’t think warm water is strong enough to kill all the germs. Can I use hot water? I would love some recommendations here. I don’t want to use bleach because it will ruin the cute pattern on it.

It smells.
My puppy started biting his disposable pee pads, so I bought this double pack. I liked that there were 2 of them in the package because they need to be changed every day. They are machine washable, so should be easy to clean, but I find they still smell even after being washed with detergent. They have so-so absorbency. If my puppy goes on these pads in the morning when he needs to pee a good amount, then the pee will go through the pad a little bit and get on the floor. Sure, it's not a puddle, but it still needs to be cleaned. The smell of a day of pee is unbearable when I come home from work. This wasn't the case with disposable pee pads. I would not buy this product again.

Pretty good sub for disposables
I liked that it’s thick and it washes perfectly without retaining odor. But my issue is that the pee spreads out as it soaks in instead of staying in its place (like it would on a disposable pee pad.) It also doesn’t dry as fast as a disposable, so you’re left with wide areas of damp pee and my 7lb morkie has the thing covered by three pees. Damp pee smells. On a disposable, his little areas would be isolated and dry up fast, and he could pee up to 6 times or more. But for reducing my carbon footprint, it’s worth it. Nothing is as convenient as plastic but that doesn’t mean we should use it, ammirite?

A good pee pad for apartment tenants, but not for people in houses.
We used it for a while, but now use it outside for out puppy to get used to peeing outside. It is good if you live in an apartment and you don't have a backyard to let her pee in everytime. However, if you live in a house, it's best to just use paper pee pads or newspaper and leave it out for her to pee there. My puppy got used to peeing inside, so we need to make sure she gets used to peeing outside!

Satisfactory (and would recommend), but could be improved
I purchased these instead of disposable pee pads because I wanted an environmentally friendly option. For this reason, I am satisfied overall (and would recommend to others), but there are ways to improve this product.CONS:First, it does leak a little bit. My adult dog pees a lot and after a full day home alone, I'll pick this pad up and see that a small amount of pee has leaked onto the floor beneath it. Not a lot, so it's easy enough to clean up. And sometimes it doesn't leak at all (I imagine it would not leak for a puppy-amount of pee).Second, it MAY smell after washing. When I first started washing this, I used scentless detergent for sensitive skin. Big mistake: the pee smell was actually stronger after the wash, and my entire machine stank for days. I used Affresh Washer Cleaner (available on Amazon) to clean my washing machine and remove the smell. Later, I switched to scented detergent when washing this pee pad, and didn't have the stink problem again.PROS:It's a cute design (blends in better with my wood floor than a white plastic pee pad) and is large enough for my very long 30lb adult dog (see photo). It's machine washable/dryable and thus reusable, and traps most (but not always all) of the pee smell. My dog knew instinctively what to do with this when I put it on the floor, so no training was required. She's a new rescue so I don't know if she had been trained prior, but she took to it right away. Finally, I appreciate that this package comes with two pee pads, so I can swap them in between cleanings.Note that I do not have experience with disposable pee pads, so I cannot accurately compare them with this reusable one. But from my perspective, for about $30 for 2 pads, I think it's a worthwhile investment.

Major Slipping hazard on hardwood or linoleum
Got these today and within a couple of hours i wiped out on it and 20 minutes later my pregnant wife also slipped on it. There is no non slip backing on it whatsoever. Not well thought out.

Not good at all
Good size look nice but too thin. Not absorbent at all, after couple of pees leaks through back side. Should have spent a few extra dollars and bought the thicker name brand. Pads are used for 2 small yorkies, will check with amazon to see if I can return them as they’re not as advertised.

It works great as a pee pad otherwise but make sure you ...
Not waterproof. The pee will eventually creap down to the bottom. Not sure why it says waterproof. It works great as a pee pad otherwise but make sure you have some bags underneath them.

Top layer doesn't dry.
The top layer of the pad doesn't dry. Subsequent visits force the dog to step in pee and drag it out. Other similar products have a quick dry top layer.

Not sure about absorbency but the size is good
I bought these to put under my son while staying in a hotel bed. They slid around quite a bit, but he didn't have any accidents so I don't know what would have happened. I recommend washing before use to get the stiffness out of them
