New to sandbag training and hemmed and hawed over which option to purchase, but I'm really pleased with this bag. Functionally, I like the variety of grips: one on either end, two neutral (parallel) grips, and two regular grips. Other bags in the same price range seemed to lack one of those options, though many did have a single center grip, which this bag does not. While that might be a nice addition, I don't find the bag lacking without it.As other reviewers have noted: it's well-made with quality stitching and feels durable enough to last years if you don't beat it up TOO much (I wouldn't drag it on abrasive surfaces such as concrete too regularly, for example). The velcro is heavy duty, both on the main shell and the filler bags; the first few times pulling any of them open is a minor workout itself. The zipper on the shell is metal and it too seems heavy duty and unlikely to snag anytime soon.Adding/removing weight from the bag is simple enough. I got a 50 lbs. bag of sand and filled two of the three filler bags equally, and put the remainder in the third bag. This allows me variations of roughly 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 lbs. (A bathroom scale would probably help with more precise measurements of weight.) Though the description of the bag says it will hold up to 60 lbs, I think you could probably get away with adding a fourth filler bag in the shell.A note about sand: I used play sand, but I would strongly encourage others to use the driest sand (or maybe pea gravel) they can find. I found the moisture in the play sand was seeping through the filler bags after a day. I resolved this by unpacking the filler bags, opening them up, and laying them down so the moisture would seep out and evaporate between workouts. I lay them down so the maximum amount of contact could be made between the bags and the floor, and moved the bags around each day or two (if I wasn't using the sandbag during a workout) so the moisture that had seeped out underneath could dry up.Yes it was a bit of a pain, but a minor inconvenience, and after a few weeks the issue was gone.And yes, I've noticed a bit of sand has leaked out into the shell, but I think that's to be expected, particularly with such fine grain sand. It's easy enough to clean up with a vacuum, and a bag of sand at the home center won't break the bank if the filler bags eventually need to be refilled.

Currently training for a Spartan race. Using the back with the two fill bags filled with play sand. Love how I can distribute the weight different throughout the bag. The handles work perfectly for different workouts and lifts. Very durable and haven't had any leakage issues while throwing it around during workouts in the park. Very good buy! Will be getting a second small one for my partner.

I've been using this bag for over a week now with daily work outs and I have to say, I really enjoy working out with it. It looks and feels really sturdy. The only down fall to it is that the internal bags it comes with. As you can see from one of the pictures I took, the sand is coming out of them. The bags are sealed correctly but sand seems to keep coming out. I would say it's ok if you're not planning on removing any weight but if you are, prepare yourself to scoop it up.

I love this sandbag. Very sturdy. Well made. The inside bag that you fill with sand is very well made. The two layers of velcro are no joke. There is no way it will accidentally open. I have 30lbs of sand in mine. I ordered it in black.

Seems very durable. The stitching appears strong and the Velcro solid and not skimpy. I cannot see it bursting if treated as recommended. The instructions say not to slam it on the ground. Zipper is thick and looks strong.

Construction of the bag and the sand bladders is top quality. Filled it up and started using it right away. I have used other types of sandbags and I prefer this one.

I fill the 3 bags with sand, yet the bag is droopy, making it difficult to throw on shoulders, or over head excercises.Wasted my money, instead of opting for a return.Soultion: finding a sandbag that's a bit more compact, use the 3 bags for the new one.

Nice bag... Has held up well so far! Perfect training for my 12 year old son who wrestles and plays football.
