I couldn't believe how well-priced this lead was, because a lot of the ones I used to buy in pet stores or vet surgeries would climb upwards of £20 for a decent lead. Our dogs are Labs and we like a nice sturdy lead with some cushioning so that it doesn't hurt out hands if they pull (Labs tend to want to be involved in everything). I bought two bright orange ones to make them easier to see. They come with small reflective strips all up the lead, which is good if you're out in the evening, but you may need to wash the lead if it gets dirty to make sure they stay visible. The lead comes with a small loop for making the lead tighter if you need to hold your dog near a busy road (always good with excitable dogs or puppies) and a comfy handle. The rope lead part can be a little rough but you generally don't need to hold it with the mini-loop there to give you a little more control. Other leads I've had have snapped when one of our Labs jumps excitedly out of the back of the car. Well, sir, this one does not. It's remained strong despite an energetic Lab being attached to the end. It also comes with a handy little 'O' ring, which is a metal ring that you can attach a clip to, should you need to seatbelt your dogs in the back of the car (which is what we use it for). You could also use it to attach things you want your dog to carry, such as a water bottle, etc. The O rings have held well and haven't snapped. Overall, perfect for what we needed. Strong, reflective, with a mini handle and an attachment so you can keep your dogs safe in the car. What more could you want? It's a great price too. Just as an aside, we used ours on two large female Labs (one lead each) that weigh around 30 kgs or less. I can't say how effective this would be on a much larger or heavier dog (such as a Newfie or Mastiff) so proceed at your own risk. For our dogs, however, it's perfect.

This is a brilliant lead, particularly if you have a reactive dog like mine who needs to be pulled close on occasion. The whole lead is comfy in the hand, is a good length to give the dog freedom to sniff but the additional handle and thickness of the lead in hand gives you great control when you need to have it. One thing to be aware of is, as the second handle is fixed, you do need to be aware of distance between your hand and your dog. I'm 5ft 8 and my dog is around a foot/foot and a half high. When grabbing the second handle I have to stoop slightly. It's not a big deal for me as the whole length of the rope is easy to grab and use to get more control, and I can still use the 2nd handle on occasion if I need him to tight heel. Might be an issue tho if you're six foot with a short dog! I'm not taking a star off for it as, honestly, would seem churlish when it's such a brilliant lead. Would be great if the manufacturers could make a couple of different lead options with 2nd handle positioned for different distances between walkers hand and dogs collar tho! All in all, best lead I've ever owned. Definitely recommended.

We've had this lead for our Golden Retriever for 4 years now and it is still going very strong. The elastic on the lower traffic control handle has loosened over the years (the traffic handle still works perfectly) but other than this, and after a wash, it is practically brand new. The length is also great as it's not too long to lose control but long enough to allow good sniffs. It's well worth the price and it's nice to not have to buy a new lead every fews years, would highly recommend!

Since I got my pup 6 months ago I have been looking for the perfect lead and this one is 80% the perfect one. Positive aspects are that the lead is very sturdy, reflective at night, with bright colours (I got the orange one) and fairly comfortable to wear. The middle handler to control your pup on traffic or to have a closer control is the best feature of this lead and what it makes it so great. Besides just below £10 is a very affordable lead. Just on the negative side I would say that for me, the middle handle is too low to reach at times. I guess it depends also of what kind of dog you’re taking. For a big breed dog it may be perfect but my pup is a whippet cross 6 months puppy so small-medium size and it is sometimes difficult to reach for that so useful handle. I would prefer having this handle more towards the real middle of the lead or having some mechanism where you can decide how far you want this handle to sit. Also the lead in general is a bit on the too long side. If you’re taking your pup on the main handle it can get a bit long for my like. Besides the ring attached to the main handle which is very useful to attach the poo bags holder, keeps moving up and down so I would prefer it it would be fixed to the main handle so the poo bag container is not all over the place whilst my pup walks/run 😅 But overall an almost perfect and very useful and affordable lead 👍

Good quality lead. It’s a longer lead and has some shock absorption which is good and helps my back if dog pulls. The best bit is the second handle near the collar so the lead can be used as a long lead bit then a short lead too when needed. Makes sense to have both as if you need to short lead there is a better grip having another proper handle. Has a secure ring on main handle to clip pops bag holder etc. Would be again. Good value.

I don't usually write reviews as products need time to prove themselves and an instant review means nothing to me. I have used/tried several dog leads in the past and this Sweetie dog lead deserves a mention. Purchased in July 2025 it is exactly what they advertise. Strong durable leash, with comfortable rope and handles. It gives that little extra length so my border collie can have a bit of relaxed sniff space. The lower handle is positioned just at the right point to bring him in close if I need to and have that little extra control at crossings and other dogs who he may take exception to. The reflective rope works too. For me an excellent purchase.

I am the owner of a fifteen year old Border Collie, and although he's maybe showing his age a bit, he's a big lad for a BC, with a lot of upper body strength, and still can pull on the leash, especially when he sees a friend or someone shows him some attention. Therefore, a strong lead is an essential item in keeping him under control. This lead is really well made, constructed of similar material to that of mountaineering rope, with a cushioned, comfortable handle, and also has another loop closer to the reassuringly sturdy clasp, which is really useful in restraining the dog, or pulling it close to prevent it from rearing up at people or at other dogs. I am very pleased with my purchase - this lead is good value for money, will probably outlast my dog (sadly), and is totally fit for purpose. No hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending this lead.

I've been using this for about 3 months now and i have to say i'm very impressed with it. We have a young cocker spaniel and he is not great on a lead - he is strong and can pull a lot, plus he has a bit of a habit of chewing his leads and harnesses. This lead feels very sturdy and substantial and our dog is yet to try chewing it! It has a large, sturdy clip which looks like it will last a long time. When it first arrived I was a bit concerned that it was a little too chunky but once i started using it this hasn't been a problem. The lead is a good length, allowing the dog to get a fair bit of freedom whilst walking, while the short, close control handle allows a much greater level of control over the dog when you need it. I love that i can quickly grab the short handle if i need my dog to stay close for whatever reason. My only complaint would be that on wet days, the short handle can sometimes drag in mud and puddles which can be a bit annoying if you suddenly need to grab it and end up with a muddy hand, but this is a small problem and i have discovered that the whole lead is very easy to clean and comes up looking as good as new. Wish i had found this lead sooner!

très contente de ce produit. C'est plus facile lorsque je croise un autre chien pour retenir le mien. L'esthétique est vraiment bien. Cette laisse est solide et résistance. Je la lave en machine à laver, elle ne bouge pas.

La corda è robusta ma non rigida, ha un bel colore rosa acceso (che non passa inosservato nei giri al parco!), e soprattutto ha due manici imbottiti che sono stati una vera scoperta. Uno è alla fine, classico, e l’altro è più vicino al moschettone: perfetto per avere più controllo quando serve, tipo se incrociamo altri cani o ci troviamo in zone trafficate. Il mio cane è una bassethound di taglia media e tira abbastanza, ma questo guinzaglio regge benissimo senza "tagliare" le mani come mi capitava con altri modelli, i moschettoni sembrano di discreta qualità ma solo i tempo e l'uso lo potrà confermare. Le cuciture sembrano resistenti e anche sotto la pioggia o con il fango non ha mostrato segni di cedimento. In più, i dettagli riflettenti sono una bella aggiunta: si vedono bene quando facciamo le passeggiate serali, cosa che mi fa sentire più tranquillo.

La laisse est comme sur la photo et arrive dans un petit pochon. Elle est géniale, l'élasticité de la corde est parfaite et la double poignée rend bien des services pour travailler "en court" avec son chien sur les trottoirs ou plus de longueur quand je démarre avec le vélo par exemple. Ne blesse pas du tout les mains, très agréable. L'anneau pour attacher le porte sacs à crottes me sert plutôt pour "fermer" la laisse sur elle même et la mettre en écharpe sur l'épaule pendant la balade puisque je lâche mon chien, j'ai ainsi les mains libres, ce qui est super !

Pienamente soddisfatta, resistente e comodo. Anche le due impugnature sono perfette, molto utili. Ho un boxer di 44 kg che tira come un pazzo….

Haft kopplet i 2 år och den är fortfarande i ett bra tillstånd. Den ända lilla nackdelen var att det fanns lite små plast bitar som stack ut från kopplet efter att vår hund dragit en del.( Inget som påverkar funktion) Väldigt nöjd med det andra handtaget, gött att kunna ha ett bättre grepp vid hundmöten.
