You get what you pay for...
I had to return this fan after I received it. It was missing some parts which the manufacturer was willing to replace. However, the construction was just not of the level of grade I wanted. It is not an expensive fan and may work fine for many but I wanted a direct drive, quiet fan that was also extremely well engineered and constructed. I also purchased a BigAssFan for $1K and it was incredible. But you get what you pay for....
