Stiebel Eltron Tempra 36 Trend Electric Tankless Water Heater, 36kW, 240V

Had 6 months and everything is working well so far. I'm in a three-story house and their services the entire house very well.

Had to return this item as I bought a size too big (my breaker panel couldn't handle the load). But i did get as far as installing it to the wall and breaker panel. Everything was super easy and the unit itself is pretty light. However the Item I received appeared to be already open. Comparing to the replacement I ordered which is just one model lower, the original unit did not include the hinge screws and the precaution stickers were not on the unit. This is most likely at no fault of Eltron but more so amazon. It just worries me that it may have been a used item being sold as new...

0 stars! This was my third one and it has failed yet again! I purchased the older model in 2008 during the buildings construction and it died after about 6 years. I thought it was just a dud and replaced it with the exact same unit and it failed after 6 years! So then I vowed not to buy another Stiebel Eltron anything! But of course because their inlet/outlet design locations are completely different from everyone else, it was going to cost me over twice as much for the installation. And since they had a new model version out, I decided to give it one more shot. And now its nearly 6 years later and guess what? Exactly, the boilers are failing AGAIN! This company's products are GARBAGE!!! I will pay the extra installation cost this time to hopefully avoid paying over and over and over with this garbage brand...

We have not had one problem with this water heater. It gives us hot water on demand at all times. I would recommend an electrician for the install. The cost will pay for itself, trust me! No more worries of leaking water tanks flooding or running our is hot water in the middle of a shower.

Well german items seem to be well made. I installed this tankless water heater on a 200 amp service. It recommends a 300 amp service but only 200 or 400 that I know of here. I ran 6-2 electrical wire and 3-50 amp breakers. I have a well pump supplying water. It works flawlessly for a week now. Hopefully for many years it will treat me good.

Energy hog. Uses 150 amps of your 200 amp service. Very powerful and well designed and built. It’s German!

This unit Did not work and ran out of time to send back was not satisfied with purchase if I could rate this with no stars I would.

Love it, it’s great for my large family. Don’t have to worry about running out of hot water.

Mientras funciono fue una maravilla (2años) pero después de un tiempo dejo de detectar cuando corría el agua entonces había que estarlo apagando y después de alguna manera una parte del cobre se gastó y comenzó a hacer corto circuito, no encuentro solución ni forma de repararlo. Cuando funcionaba se me daban mantenimientos de limpieza para sarro cada 6 meses y todo lo necesario para su correcto funcionamiento pero aún así fallo… Despues de la instalacion que es un poco tediosa y la tiene que hacer un profecional por la capasidad de carga (gaste como 2,000 mas en cosas para instalar) caliente el agua con madre y no baja la precion de agua de la casa...
