Rough wool
It was more like a chunky thickness than aran. A very rough texture. Bought to knit a child's jumper. Will make several pairs of adult socks instead!

Great colour
This super sized ball of aran wool comes in a variety of colours, my purchase is a lovey deep red a favourite of mine.

Nice to knit with
Just finished this sweater it has taken less than 3 400gm balls , I am pleased with the look and feel of the wool . I had a small problem at the start but the seller was very helpful.
