Tough - In a Bad Way as Well as Good
Works as advertised. My only complaint is that the hose is STIFF!!! That may be a feature rather than a bug, but when you're trying to clamp it to, for example, the inlet flange of a blast gate that's only an inch or so wide, this stuff is like wrestling guppies in your aquarium with your bare hands. Somehow it seem to slip out of place just as you're cinching it tight.I've used a hose by another manufacturer that's much more supple and flexible, with nary a problem. This stuff took me an hour to fasten into place, where it should have taken five minutes. I finally had to fabricated an extension to the blast gate flange from sheet metal. Now, that likely means it won't rip or burst on me as it heads into (hopefully) years of dust-collection service, but putting this stuff in position really was a PITA sufficient to take away a star.

Depends on Your Application
Its OK that it shrinks but it can be a pain as well.As poorly as DC fittings are made this puts strain on the connections at times, and it pulls it self off. Before I built my DC unit to be permanently in place it was on wheels and it was very frustrating using this hose as it would pull the DC.You really cant have it with 2 quick disconnects or they wont stay on when you try to expand it Now that its all attached to pipe and installed it works pretty well and when they shrink they do kinda stay outta the way more. So depending on need, Id say its good well built hose you just need the right application for it

no ends
Note that this hose is just a length of hose, no ends to attach to your vacuum or attachments. You will have to find a way to attach it on both ends. If the manufacture has these fitting I wish they would feature it as a "kit." It is a very nice hose, better than what comes with you regular shop vac.OK, after riging up so end attachements I have worked with the hose on my 6 HP shop vac...problem is when the pickup end gets blocked, like my the floor, the hose immediately shrinks up to the 4 ft length! Eithe vacuum unit comes shooting across the floor or worst the hose pulls off the wand. Haven't managed to figure out how to deal with this!

good for "fixed" or "semi fixed" equipment. Not where lots of flexibility is needed.
I used this hose to connect my planer to my dust collection system. I roll the planer out away from the wall to use it then push it back when I'm done so this hose doesn't go all floppy all over the floor when not in use. I kind of get what I need when I pull against it. it works great for the purpose. I have a clear more flexible hose to use for my hand held dust collector attachment that I used to have to do double duty with the planer. Yeah, it's a little stiff but sometimes that's what's needed.

20 feet of goodness
This works as expected, stretching and returning as a good self-retracting hose should. The inside is fairly smooth which helps your static pressure stay up in a vacuum. One thing...if it is important to you that the hose will stay in position unaided you will be disappointed as it is much happier being short than being long. It requires constant pulling or various fixtures to hold it extended. The quality is excellent for woodworking shop applications, plenty thick to withstand wood chips.

Unruly Dust Collection Hose
The dust collection hose itself is very good quality...haven't had it long enough to determine durability. The only thing I don't like about the hose is that while yes it does collapse, it has a very high tenacity to collapse. I have purchased the clear version and that one is perfect...you stretch it out as needed and it holds...when you are finished you can collapse it easily. I assumed the black version would act in a similar fashion, but unfortunately it does not. when you pull your too out from the wall the hose does expand, but it pulls hard to collapse. Plus on bends it gets kinked up because you can stretch it out for nice long radius bends... I'll continue to use it, but probably won't purchase again...maybe over time the hose will relax a bit and not try to collapse so hard.

Works as expected.
I could not find a 2-1/2 inch flexible hose locally and I am happy with this 10 foot Woodstock black hose that I purchased from Amazon and will be using it for dust collection from my Router table etc. This seems like pretty good quality for the money.

Troy-Built Gardenway leaf vaccum/chipper replacement hose.
I used this to replace the hose on my Troy-Built Gardenway leaf vacuum chipper. After several hours of use, I find this to be an adequate replacement. It will clog, but no worse than the original hose. I like how it retracts too.

Needs to be more flexible
Good sixe but is always tries to compress. More flexibility would be nice.

Good heavy duty tube
Good product. Took a few days to stretch out and hold its shape.

it's good nothing more nothing less than what they described
It's exactly as described but it was my fault I didn't do my measurements correctly but I had to do some adjustment and still made it to work perfect
