My son bought me a new craftsman weed eater to replace my 20 year old unit. This new one has the single piece of line instead of the old wind it up spoil the old one had. I was kind of jazzed thinking my days of aggravation with trimmer line were behind me. The new trimmer came with 8 new pieces of replacement line, so I figured I'd be set till retirement age. Cue the sad trombone sound. This line wore out even more quickly than the old .65 line I had on the old machine. I started my quest to find replacement line before I ran out of my supply of 8 pieces. Buying the precut pieces didn't seem cost effective based on cost vs number of pieces in the pack. I bought this spool based on the reviews and the 150 feet and the reasonable price for it. I installed it, and have it the torture test using it at the sidewalk grass edge. I pushed it hard, and was not as rewarded as I was hoping for. It didn't wear down as fast as the factory line did, but it was not the indestructible line that other reviews made it out to be. Overall, I'm pleased with the quantity for the money, but it is not impervious to wear.

Have used this in my Echo with the head that takes four pieces of this .130” that I push in to 4 places in the head , works great…..I keep it in my shop frig, good product if your trimmer has the power….

Bought a Poulan Prolink PP335 at Walmart March 2011 for around $200. I was purchasing the refill chord which was .115-inch for 12 pieces that cost $7 a pack and having to buy every 2 weeks. Then one week I went to buy more and receptionist said they discontinued the trimmer string although they still sold the weed eater???Well anyways I went online and after a few hours of research I found this would fit my weed eater. I was a little skeptical at first thinking the .130 would not fit, but it did!!! So I bought 2 rolls and this stuff being twisted is super strong compared to my Walmart purchase. It is now a full 2 years later (little over a quarter through my 3rd weed eating season) and I am JUST ABOUT to finish my first roll. Small yard, 6000 sq ft. I use it for edging the sidewalk, driveway, brick home and 30 feet of chain link fence. The rest is privacy fence that is 2 inches off ground which does zero harm to the trimmer line. This stuff is a God Send! At $15 a month for Walmart brand this is still cheaper at $12 and it is now July 2013 and I purchased this in May or June of 2011 and on my first roll. Buy, Buy, Buy!
