Fun to play
Great game to get young kids thinking about words and how they are spelled. Loved playing this with my grammar school aged grandchildren.

Gor this game for my granddaughter, she loves science, social studies and math, but language arts, not so much. This game changed that, she wants to play every day! And she has been doing so much better with reading and spelling. Wonderful game, she is 6 so we play a little different, for now we use word families ( it, at, op, ug, en, ap ect..)

cool game, even for adults
i like the simplicity of this game where it does not take me 30 minutes to explain it to a new player. even for adults it's fun and challenging at times, depending on what letters you got to make word. i like this brand of games and have Stare and Wit's end which i like as well.

Fun game; cheap cheap make
I played this game with my kids (under 8) and they seemed to like it: it is a spelling game and can be exciting for kids who have just mastered reading and writing. The participating adults can guide the game along, making it a cooperative game, rather than competitive. The down side--and it is a big down side--is that the game is so cheaply made that it is nearly impossible to play the game: The spin-wheel, which is key to the game as it determines which letter of the alphabet gets randomly selected, does NOT spin at all. I can't imagine this particular part, if made slightly better (say, barely usable), could have cost that much more--this game isn't cheap to begin with. Frankly, as much as my kids like this game, I feel that my money is not well spent.

My six-year-old grandniece like it very much
As soon as my grandniece saw the feet of the Christmas Tree, she opened it and wanted to start playing. She knew it because some friends had the same educational and enjoyable game.

Good for ESL students
I use this with my intermediate and advanced students. They really enjoy playing it. For less advanced students, I do away with the categories and tell them they can make any word that uses the two selected letters. It spurs many conversations and that is very helpful for language learners. It also helps to develop vocabulary as students often resort to looking up words to use. My only complaint is that the board is very small and students often finish the game in just a few turns. (Of course they can play again.)
