I can’t answer your question as I used it to fit a carpet. The stretcher block is made up of little plastic spikes that grip the carpet down to its backing so you can kick it to stretch it. I guess it would depend on the backing of the artificial grass and whether or not it can withstand the force.

Will this work for fitting carpet which is fluffy with longer fibers?

Yes it works well, but the teeth on the head can get full of carpet wool. Can be removed with a small knife
