La La Land

Enjoyable film. The opening scene in the traffic jam atop a bridge is superb. The rest of the film is for lovers of good music and the ending is delightfully different. A must watch.

Beautiful...lyrical...all that one would expect from a Hollywood Musical.

Disclaimer: I didn't buy this from Amazon.in. This is true review only about the movie.A beautiful musical journey. This is one I can describe in one single line.From the very beginning to the end you will enjoy this for sure.The story line is very simple(About a struggling jazz player and a want to be actress). But I must give the complete credits to the cinematography direction and bgm. With the perfect blend of romance and music.I didn't really enjoy the end. But as all say not every story has a happy endingJust watch video song from youtube and you will understand what I am sayingI suggest this for all romance lovers.

Fantastic Watch with great performances by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Definitely deserves the awards the movie received. Has a Bollywood feel to the movie with songs and dancing!

First off, the BluRay disc doesn't even get recognized by my BluRay Player most of the times (my BluRay Player is fine); I have to eject and insert the disc a couple of times before my BluRay Player recognizes it. The aspect ratio is wrong, it is cropped to 16:9 from its original 2.55: 1. The audio is of a mediocre DolbyDigital 5.1 encoding as opposed to DolbyAtmos 7.1 in the US. There are no special features, not a single other thing than the movie. I am shocked this costs as much as it does (I payed ₹1219), while movies like Deadpool cost about ₹800 and offer a ton of special features and better audio and video encoding. Very, very disappointed with this product.

Sadly, my review is not about this product as I think it's really overpriced. Almost more than twice the actual amount. But the movie, I can vouch for! Give it a watch definitely.

One of the best romantic movie

Ich dachte, bei dieser Besetzung muss es ein guter Film sein, aber nach 10 Minuten langweiligem und schrecklichem Sing Sang musste ich ausschalten. Ich schaue sehr gerne Bollywood Filme, dort wird auch oft und lange gesungen, aber dass gejaule hier in dem Film ist einfach nicht auszuhalten.

Die Musik war nett. Aber mehr auch nicht, zumindest nix, wo ich Oskare für verteilen würde. Auch für den Rest nicht.Das Anliegen, aktuell nicht mehr umfänglich gewürdigte Kunst früherer Dekaden wieder neu zu beatmen, ob es Jazz ist oder Musicalfilme: So wird das nix!Am schlimmsten aber ist der Leitgedanke, dass Träume und Wünsche nicht aufgegeben werden sollen, trotz aller Rückschläge oder "Vernuftsversuche", denn sie können sich bei Beharrlichkeit und Mut doch noch erfüllen. Also dranbleiben! - Jaaaaa, super Gedanke. Immer wieder gern durch Filme vermittelt.Hier wird er aber zerstört dadurch, dass am Ende durch falsche Entscheidungen auf dem Weg dorthin das Glück auf der Strecke bleibt, trotz Durchhaltevermögen und Mut, die zu den erfüllten Träumen und Wünschen führen. So dass das eigentliche Glück am Ende tatsächlich nur im Traum existiert. Tolle Botschaft! Man möchte gleich von der nächsten Brücke springen, so derart motivierend ist das.Wenn die eigentliche Botschaft heißen sollte "Passt gut auf, was genau ihr euch wünscht, denn genau das kriegt ihr. Mehr nicht!" oder "Seid ihr sicher, dass ich ihr euch das wünscht, fehlt da nicht was?" oder auch nur "Erfüllte Träume allein machen nicht glücklich!", dann, Entschuldigung, trete ich bestimmt nicht von der Kante zurück. Denn das heißt dann hier in diesem Machwerk auch nur: Wie man es macht, macht man es am Ende doch verkehrt, wenn man zu blöd ist, an alles zu denken oder sich zu blöd im sozialen Miteinander anstellt. Toll! Ein Hoch auf die Fehlerhaftigkeit menschlichen Tuns und das Scheitern im Erfolg! Feiern wir es durch knallige Farben, hölzerne Tanzeinlagen, viel Tamtam und dringlich gewollt künstlerische Theater-Inszenierungen in einem Hollywood-Blockbuster.Echt, was haben die sich bei diesem Film gedacht? Nix? Vermutlich. Das hat geklappt. Dafür einen Oskar von mir!

Il film originale é molto bello; la trama, via via che si va verso il finale, diventa sempre più poetica e densa di commozione e sogni. Ricorda molto il film “The Purple Rose of Cairo” di Woody Allen perché l'attrice, che si crede e sembra romantica, pretende che Ryan Gosling sia coerente ai suoi sogni, dopo che lui vi ha rinunciato per supportare economicamente lei; così, dopo che lui ha raggiunto il successo, lo obbliga moralmente a lasciare il suo successo in nome dei suoi sogni; poi il successo arriva per lei ed entrambi si promettono amore eterno; ma lei cede alla concretezza e ricchezza di un amore ricco di un altro uomo, finché proprio assieme a lui re-incontra Ryan Gosling che intanto ha percorso con un discreto ma modesto successo la strada dei suoi sogni, e per 7 lunghi minuti lei (e noi che vediamo il film) sogna mentre assiste alla di lui esibizione al piano grazie alle immagini tenere e romantiche che la musica di lui proietta nella sua mente e nel suo cuore; sembra quasi un finale bellissimo, come se tutto ciò che era accaduto fosse stato solo un sogno; invece si risveglia e tutto finisce, e lei va via col suo uomo, lasciando a Ryan i sogni e la sua musica; a differenza di “The Purple Rose of Cairo” la donna falsamente romantica qui cade in piedi (successo, amore, etc.). Comunque film Bellissimo, poetico e struggente. Riprese molto belle nell’originale. Musiche che potevano essere migliori, ma testo delle canzoni abbastanza buono.Invece, come scritto anche da altri, la qualità del DVD è pessima (2 stelle!): audio scadentissimo (occorre spesso rimandare indietro le scene per capire cosa si dicono); anche la qualità video è molto bassa (non riempie lo schermo ed appare come sfocato); proverò a prendere un dvd originale da un altro paese, senza la squallida realizzazione RAI 01 & C.

La la land por si sola como obra artística es excelente, pero hablemos del producto como tal.En mi caso me decidí por comprar la edición importada, pues la versión nacional perdió mucha calidad respecto a esta,Aquí tenemos:- Alrrededor de dos horas de contenido adicional. Eso si, este contenido no cuenta con subtitulos en español.- Tenemos por separado los clips de todas las canciones para poder verlos sin necesidad de ver toda la película o estarlos ubicando manualmente.- El audio incluído es impresionante, pues incluye una pista Dolby AtmosRecomiendo mucho hacerse con la edición importada.

La La Land es una de esas películas que al verlas nos hace recordar esos musicales de antaño que hacía Hollywood y nos hace plantearnos la pregunta ''Si hubiera...''. La película son duda es una belleza, desde la música hasta las actuaciones, te atrapa desde el incio con un excelente opening musical que sin duda pasará a la historia como una escena de las más íconicas.Sobre el producto:La película (la versión Americana) viene en combo pack DVD + Bluray + copia digital (esta última solo disponible en USA) con un slipcover que cambia de colores cuando está contra luz.El audio e imagen están impecables, el HD se aprecia desde el incio y el audio te envuelve dentro de la películaLos extras son como lo dice el slipcover, casi 3 horas y todos en HD.La verdad vale mucho la pena adquirir la película, sobre todo si eres fan ya que vale mucho la pena cada centavo invertido en el producto.Sobre el servicio Amazon:Todo excelente, el bluray llegó muy rápido, antes de lo esperado y en perfectas condiciones, valió la pena ya que lo encontré a un precio muy bajo. (ojo, compré la versión Americana de la película, asegúrense que sea esta la que están adquiriendo)
