Midwest Products Project Woods Hardwoods Economy Bag

I suppose this stuff is okay for doing crafts, but not for what I wanted. I wasn't aware that I was going to get a large chunk of wood I can't do anything with. I was under the impression I was going to received slats I could use for making guitar pickguards. I can't use this stuff for that but may be able to figure out something else someday so it will go in my garage. I may never see it again...Oh well.

I needed to make a couple of small things out of hardwood. I searched Amazon just for giggles and sure enough I found this. I size and number of pieces may very from bag to bag, But all the pieces in the bag I got were good quality dense hardwood. Free of knots and cracks but in a rough mill condition.

didn't fit my needs, might fit yours. Some of them were paper thin which did nothing for what I needed. I could live with different overall sizes, but it's got to be more than paper thin. About 25-30% of the wood was too thin.

One HUGE 2"x4"x8" chunk, one 2"x2"x4" half chunk, and a huge stack of very thin pieces. ....guess I'll be making lot's of wooden gliders :)

The wood was great.

in this product. There were 2 walnut blocks about 2"x3"x4" and about 20+ "sheets" of 3"x6"x 1/32". I have no idea what I'm going to use those really thin strips for. They are really too thin to even use for miter joint keys without stacking at least 2 together. Won't fall for it again. If you want hobby wood, go to Rockler and order a bag of their cutoffs. I've gotten a couple so far and there is way more useful wood included.

Pieces pretty much same sizes and too much of the wood is dark.

I read the reviews, trying to predict what I'd get, and many people mentioned thin boards. I got thick blocks. This is way overpriced for a mystery grab bag. Buy only if you don'y care what you get.
