Q: Can this work with the eos t5?

It works with any camera that has a tripod mount on the bottom (lug inserted in the mount) and a camera strap mount on the side. Although it makes the bottom of your camera "not flat" I love this method of stabilizing my camera in my hand.

Q: Does it fit the canon t6i

Don't own a t6i, but if there is a tripod mount on the bottom to screw into it adjusts to size. Best answer I can give, sorry!

Q: will this work along with the neck strap or do you have to choose between the neck strap and the hand grip strap?

I have only used it alone. Since it goes through one of the slots used for the neck strap. I don't think you can get 2 straps through the slot.
