I bought this glass display dome to display my father's pocket watch. The pocket watch is over 100 years old with a leather strap. The hook in the top of the dome holds the watch and it hangs very well for all to see. The brown leather strap is the same color as the the finial on top of the dome and the base that the dome rests in. Makes a very nice display for a memorable piece of family history. The display dome was packed VERY well and arrived rapidly in excellent condition. Very happy with this purchase.

There are fancier glass domes with better crafted bases made of more exotic wood. However, this looks good and shows off the Grandfather Railroad Watch nicely. Need to have the Midnight and Noon 12 at the stemwinder so as to have it properly oriented. Stemwinders at 3PM need a different display device.

Perfect for normal size antique pocket watches and watch chain.

They help you enjoy seeing your pocket watch. A little hard to hang unless you have small hands.
