complete review,and an honest one
I read all the reviews before my purchase, It works, functions as it advertised, I have an older model hyperthem plasma cutter, and I have used other types and models from various companies, this is not production equipment, do not expect the same level of production from it, I purchased it for home use, Smaller stuff, carbon steel, stainless, aluminum below 1/8 inch thick it works ok, 3/16 an above you have to take your time, don't try to zip it like other machines. Not going to work, Ive played with air pressure and machine settings not much different. But if you are looking for a small machine, that works, going to use it at home for hobby or small projects, then this is the machine for you, lower cost than others, Plus no gas cost or hose, regulators, ectBottom line: test it when you get it, it's a good system for the price, (update)keep a wire brush handy, about every 2nd cut hit the tip with wire brush, I've found out that by doing this,(while tip is still hot) it extends the life of the tip. it seems that slag blown from the metal sticks on the tip, which causes failure on tip and electrodes, going to try a gel mix on the tip to see if it solves the problem.product has no country of origin stamp, mark, or sticker on it. not going inside until warranty expires, but it is an import.Problems I have found1. Ground way to short, ill fix this after warranty is expired.2. Ground clamp ( to weak) ill fix this after warranty is expired.3. Air line (replace it) 70 lbs of air on this thing, and in the heat, it doesn't hold up.4. Buy extra stand off, I free hand a lot of cutting and the original one is now history. (update) stand off is to short, to close to material. looking for replacement that fits the cup size, hyperthem stand off product doesnt work on these tips.5. Cut is to large, wide, I can cut finer lines with a gas torch and 000 tip.6. Buy extra consumables, this thing eats them, I purchased the 40 pcs from amazon I Have used 2 full sets over last month. 2 cups, 2 tips and 2 inter electrodes , Be sure to purchase the correct ones for the system you purchased. I got this and wired it for 110v to be ...
I got this and wired it for 110v to be more convenient to use. I really would benefit investing in more 220v outlets because it will trip my breakerboard if I boost the amperage when cutting thicker material such as 1/4" steel. I generally just use it for sheet metal and am extremely content with the quality of the cuts and the speed which I can cut at. I have no regrets going with this for being my first plasma cutter.EDIT: this was a 5 star review. Then 6 months after the warranty runs out, the plasma cutter would not arc or work at all. I contacted Lotos and exhausted troubleshooting steps and their best solution was that I throw it out and purchase a refurbished one. Now I only used it 5-6 times prior to it dying and was still on my consumables provided with the package. If I used it more frequently maybe it would have crapped the bed before warranty and everything would be ok. The embarrassing part is they do not even offer servicing on their customers faulty product. I would pay whatever amount to have them fix it as long as it wasn't the same cost as a refurbished model. I will make sure to purchase a product from a larger name in the future. Lotos will NOT help you whatsoever after warranty runs out. What a joke.

Fantastic little machine
Fantastic little machine, very easy to set up. Directions were not required, but the ones that came with it made sense and a 9 year old could do it., The factory wire hold back guides are junk though, I put one from a Thermal Arc on it, see the picture. I adapted it by creating a shim/ring out of a small piece of mechanics wire that slips right over the cone and slide the hood Bach over that, and it stays perfectly in place. Doing this will cut consumables use drastically! Like 3 a Day to 1 every 3 mos. I am using it in a commercial weld shop and it's been the best bang for the buck for pretty much anything 1/2 or less. Bargain and a half. Consumables are available from my local Sears store, even better!

2 years later and still running strong! Paid for itself in less than one job!
Yes, I am an actual person and not paid advertisement. I bout this little guy and it paid for itself 3x over on one job. See the pictures... It cut conex boxes apart like a hot knife through butter on 220v.UPDATE: 2 years later and this plasma cutter is still kicking a$$. Even though i posted pictures of it cutting through Connex boxes with ease, it also has no issues making quick work of 1/2 inch thick steel I-beams. It does everything from massive industrial structures to fine art! Don’t believe me? Check out what this little box has done for my business. Www.facebook.com/barrelhousemetalandwoodworks
