This does exactly what it says it does ... And what everybody else says it does ... I've done a lot of home brews over the years, but I'll tell you what, this definitely turbo charges the fermentation process ... The yeast seem to love it, and it's doing what it's supposed to do in (about) half of the time ...I also gave a little bit to my friend to mix with water to spray over her plants; two of which were dying, but they're doing fairly well right now (I'm assuming it's the addition of this product with extra watering) ...I think, given the seemingly multiple purposes, that this is a fantastic product, and a pretty good deal from what I can see looking at other listings around Amazon ...-Dave-

I've made about 10 gallons of mead so far and have included this DAP in each batch. All of my mead has come out perfectly, probably in part thanks to this!

I originally purchased this for mead making, but have moved away from using it solely in favor of using it as one component of my nutrient additions with Fermaids K and O. However, this stuff does work quite well by itself in other recipes and I still use it in fruit/country wines that don't need delicate treatment but do benefit from the additional nitrogen source. I've also been using it in homemade plant fertilizer mixes with great success.

Now I am making ethanol for hand sanitizer, so I can't speak for if this affects flavor. But it really sped up my ferment.I was concerned when my airlock stopped bubbling in a bit over 48 hours. Usually its more than a week. But when I checked my specific gravity, it was under 1.0, so basically it just stopped because it was done.

It does what it's supposed to do, the fermentation carries on well.
