High quality fly mask, worth the money.
The masks are excellent high quality. I purchased them for the multiple attachment points as we have two that like to take other's masks off. We got the long nose version and the sizing needs to go a little larger than the chart recommended. Our horses run 13.25"-13.75" measured which is 'Cob' per the chart. We ordered Cob and returned them for 'Horse'. The Cob long nose bunched up and raised the visor portion too much and the velcro bottom didn't fit well. Nothing can be done as the nose bends down at the end so I don't think it was our fitting. I think the 'Horse' will fit perfect as we don't need much more space for it to be perfect. We normally get 'Average Horse' in Cashel Long nose with ears and Cob in Rambo. Three of our horses wear masks year round due to light coloration and we go through our share of masks. These are every bit as high a quality as Rambo, maybe better, and I think they'll stay on longer. Excellent product.

Highly recommend for UV protection
This is an excellent UV protector. It is easy to put on and protects my white-faced horses' eyes as well as his muzzle from the sun. My horse has not gotten it off either even with being out with pasture mates.

Great if you need UV protection!
I originally started buying these masks for a mare that is sensitive to sunlight and for that, they're perfect. They're very good quality (not cheap material). The buckles are intentionally designed to be flimsy as a safety feature and you can buy replacement buckles if needed. HOWEVER: I have 3 masks and they do rub my horses. The throat straps are not padded so they can rub in that area. The masks also rub in front of the ears/on the forehead from the top edge of the mask. Also the binding on the edges of the mask isn't very soft so sometimes it also rubs in front of the cheeks. The nose part of the mask doesn't really conform super well to the shape of the nose so it leaves a decent amount of open space for the flies to walk through into the mask. If you buy the masks with ears attached, you can't lower/raise the height of the mask to center the eyes properly since the ears are fixed in place. So I've got a horse that has the mask raised too high on his face since the ears prevent the mask from being lowered. If you buy the mask with the nose piece, the length seems fine but it's narrow and functions more as a sun protector instead of a fly protector. Also: the ears are HOT! The ear material is super heavy and thick and I really have no idea why. They could have used thinner/more breathable material. My horses are always sweating under the ears. The nosepiece has a neoprene piece under the mesh (for UV blocking I assume) so it's heavy/thick as well. And while these masks are marketed as being rather escape-proof, that's not really the case. IF you want to prevent the horse from being able to escape from the mask, you have to tighten the throat strap so much that they can't breathe with their heads up in the air (it loosens when they lower their heads) and that's not really something we want to be doing... So, I DO like these masks for the UV protection but they're not super functional and breathable.

My horse blindfolded himself with this mask!
I bought this fly mask because it's supposed to be good for horses who take their fly masks off all the time. My horse wasn't able to get it completely off, but that was almost worst. He got it pull off his ears, but it was still held on by the throat latch. For a normal fly mask this wouldn't be a big deal, but this fly mask has a solid visor that sits above their eyes to protect from the sun. When he pulled the mask down, the visor covered his eyes and he was basically blindfolded. We found him walking into the walls of his stall because he couldn't see anything!! Fortunately we found him quickly before he hurt himself, but I'm not willing to try putting this on him again. I think it's a great concept, but this possibility makes it too scary to use.

Pony size runs large!!
I actually really like this product, which is why I'm giving it 5 stars, and have the one without ears for my horse (since ear-less was in stock in his size). I've had it on for 2 weeks straight and it doesn't seem to rub (I remove for a few minutes regularly and check) and he doesn't try to get it off, so I think it must feel pretty comfortable. However, the "pony" size seems to run very large! It is ridiculously large on my small pony. For reference, I measured 13" for our 14 hand horse and 11" for our 11 hand pony (as shown in the picture; ABOVE the eyes as instructed. The horse equivizor without ears fits him perfectly. However, the "with ears" pony equivizor is way way too big). The ears part fits nicely but around the face is way too large!! I intend to remeasure and try to exchange for one that fits!!

Light weight and Stays on!
Love this mask! My old mare had cancer removed from her eye that turned out to be skin cancer. The vet recommended a UV mask at all times. We bought one from smart pak that was good and did the job but she hated it, an absolute struggle to get it on and keep it on. She also had rub marks across her crown. This mask however is great! Its soft, structured and so much lighter and breezier than the other one. She isnt sweating nearly as much underneath it and she doesnt fight to put it on. The hair is coming back where it was rubbed off from the previous mask. The only critique I've got is I wish the nose extension had more structure, even alittle tented to rest up off the bridge of her nose and that the sides could be alittle longer. But over all, will buy again, and very happy with this purchase.

Expect a lot of work
My horse is a cremello and has squamous cell carcinoma in both eyes, so I needed this fly mask for the 95% UV protection. The verified brands were very expensive, so this was a cheaper option, but I've had a lot of trouble making the Equivisor fit. After taking 5 different measurements for my old Cashel, I thought this 1 measurement sizing was a bit sketchy. My little horse has a short, narrow, and deep head, so based on their "eye-to-eye" sizing, she needed a Cob. It too small, and I had to send it back for the Full. Once I got the Full size, I had to tack up the end of the nose because it was too long. I also learned that you cannot leave the mask too loose anywhere or else it falls off, especially the ears. My farm has swarms of gnats that murder my poor horse's ears in the summer, so ear protection is mandatory for me. But I think adding the ears changed the UV protection. From what I understand, the shadow from the visor portion is the 95% UV (the instructions said it worked "like a baseball cap"). But you cannot adjust the mask vertically to cover the eyes with the ears in the way, so since the visor is too high on my horse's head, that means no shadow and less UV protection (I think the seller said the mesh was 80% in the Q&A). I had to cut up and resew the part next to the forelock opening so the visor is right above the eyes and will work as advertised. Be careful though because the first time I adjusted it, it was too low and my horse almost spooked because she couldn't see anything. (Get w/o ears unless you absolutely need ears, like I do, or unless you don't need perfect eye protection. Even then, the ears are really tall and narrow, so if your horse has wide ears, it probably won't fit.) Also, there is a strap under the jaw that is not necessary as long as you tighten the velcro portion good enough. My point is you will probably have to do a lot of work to make this mask fit (unless you are super lucky). It seems durable, though (the nose part frayed on my Cashel, but I don't think this one will because it has a foam layer). I also like how easy it is to put a halter on with the fly mask. The velcro part is in a good place so it doesn't get in the way. After I've made all the adjustments, I am fairly happy with it. However, I can't be sure if the UV protection works perfectly. Even when the visor is in the right place, I still see the eyes are not always in the visor's shadow. I'll have to ask my vet, but if it's not 95% UV all the time, then I might have to get a different, more expensive fly mask.

Great Product - Runs a little large
Ordered this for my horse w/head shakers syndrome. As with other products I've ordered from this company, it's well made and quality. I ordered the XL for my guy as he's quite large. While the mask fit great, the ears are huge! I thought he was proportional, but the ears almost look better suited for mule ears. Not a big deal - I just tacked down the excess. Regardless, giving 5 stars because these masks really are nice and certainly serves my purposes to provide UV protection and alleviate nose nerve sensitivity.
