No instructions :( but we do like these once we figured them out!
The only Con: NO instructions came with any of the shades we bought. I had to scour the internet to find how to assemble it. We had just moved in our house and our brains were worn out and not ready to blindly figure it out. I almost returned them all out of frustration but then I scoured the internet to find how to assemble the pulley strings it was fairly easy but this is not a common blind style so it took some guesswork. What we love: These shades were exactly what we were looking to install in the windows of our new house along with some modern boho curtains. They’re basically light and sheer in that there is enough space between all the bamboo straws that light filters in and you can see through them just like a light curtain. That being said, I wouldn’t get undressed in front of them at night- a passerby would def see in! Great if you don’t want to completely block out all the light and you can see through them.

Privacy with a view...
I purchased these because my neighbor's second story window looks directly in on my kitchen dining table, the area where I primarily sit (in my robe and nighty."My area has a sliding glass door, and the view is of my patio with all of potted flowers and hummingbird feeders.I wanted to be able to see out, without them being able to see in.This did the trick. We hung it OUTSIDE, but under the awning. It gets wet when it rains, but not drenched.I can still see all of my garden through it, but the view into the house is blocked. The installation was super easy.It raises and lowers very smoothly.I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.Thank you.....

Very pleased
These are great on a budget. Better quality than I expected. They easily roll up and down, but do need a little tap on the end to even out. The colors are nice. A medium brown sectioned off with thick blond pieces. Silver or gray thread. They come with hardware and just hang on two little hook screws that match the shade hardware. We faced the plastic pieces in because we didn't want to see them. Out of three shades, one plastic piece came apart but easily snapped back together. They'll look great with the white curtains I plan to pair them with.

Not durable
the plastic that holds the pull cords in place broke on each oth the shades (I purchased 3 x 2 per shade=6 broken pieces). The good thing is that there is an inner METAL piece that the string can tie to. Unclear the purpose of the plastic, and with metal, it's unnecessary. Still, I had to pull each shade down and restring and then tie to metal pieces which was a pain. For $33 I expect things to work out of the box, especially when buying multiples

Sturdy and well made
I love this shade. I got the 72 x 72, and it was much heavier than I expected. Very sturdy and well-made. Due to it's weight, I decided to mount it with drywall screws instead of the hooks. I've used the hooks with lighter weight bamboo shades, and they do work great. But this is a sturdy piece, and I wanted more stability. The shade rolls up and down smoothly. Color is subjective, but it is a nice light tan. I like that there are wider pieces separated between rows of smaller pieces, it really gives the shade a quality look and feel. The box DID arrive damaged, with one end completely open. However, the shade was wrapped separately, and each end was bubble wrapped, so I think that's what prevented that end from being damaged. It had to have slid out a little at some point during transit. But it survived, and looks classy!

Pretty and practical
The blinds are very pretty -- I like the different colors of bamboo -- makes the shades more interesting and a feeling of richness. Two of the 6 shades I bought came broken. I had to return them for replacements. One of the two they charged me for return shipping so I was kinda mad thaqt I did n't get a full refund since it being broken wasn't my fault. The other thing about these shades is that the way they are made is pretty delicate. Two of them keep dropping out of the snap that holds the cords in place. Its not a big deal to fix -- just annoying. We are using them on a screen in back porch that get west direct sunlight. We have wicker furniture we don't want to get wet and these have done the trick. They keep the hot sun out and when it rains they keep the rain from coming into the porch. I really recommend them for this casual type of setting.

nice screen
We are using this screen on the deck to cut the wind and offer some privacy. It is rolled all the way down, which leaves a gap about 10" that is big enough for the dogs to walk under to go out in the yard. Attached are two hooks at the bottom edge, tied with thin bungie cord strings with a metal loop in the ends, which loop around eyes that are screwed into the stair edge of the deck. We have a weight hanging on the string you pull to roll up the screen so it doesn't blow all around and get tangled. So far, the screen has done very well with strong wind and rain.
