Lanparte Samsung SSD-T5 Mount with Shoe Mount

I really like this Lanparte Samsung drive mount, and use them with my BMPCC4K SmallRig cages. I like this Lanparte mount better than the SmallRig Samsung drive mount even though I am using the SmallRig cages. This one is more expensive, and worth it. Since I have two BMPCC4Ks I tried one of each to begin with, and this Lanparte version is much better at securing the USB cable than the SmallRig version. With the USB cables I am using I could not get the SmallRig mount to properly secure cable. I also prefer the Lanparte mount on the SmallRig cage in terms of mounting options. I know you would think that the SmallRig version would be better on their own mount, but for my purposes the Lanparte is superior. I liked the Lanparte version so much more that I bought another one so I don't have to use the SmallRig version.

This is the ideal solution if you're shooting with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema, or any camera that can utilize a USB C output. Solid state drives are wildly cheaper than their SD or CF card brethren, and much faster. If you're concerned about shooting with a duplicate, then buy this, and one of those fancy pants CF cards.This mount is sturdy, doesnt wobble loose, and I feel very confident in its ability to hold fast during even the most wild shooting conditions. The cable mount does compress the USB C cable snugly, and will leave little squish marks, but other than that, I see no downside to this. The cost makes it a no brainier as well.My second piece of advice; buy two or more Samsung T5s in whatever size you want. While this clamp is reliable, the SSDs are much more likely to fail.

I've had two of these and they both kept coming loose and would wobble around.
