The Farmer's Wife Pony Club Sampler Quilt: Letters From the Lucky Pony Winners of 1915 and 90 Blocks That Tell Their Stories Paperback – 31 December 2011

This book is full of letters from the children that received ponies from the Publishing company in the early 1900's. The book also contains quilt square patterns companions for each letter. Have not tried the included CD of patterns and instructions, but the diagrams in the second part of the book are very well illustrated.

This is a fantastic book printed on superb quality paper and worth every penny. It is worth buying for the letters and photographs of the children and their ponies alone. The block patterns are very clear and I am looking forward to making a quilt from the blocks. If you have children I'm sure they would enjoy reading the often very amusing and touching stories behind the blocks, too. A superb book in every way.

My daughter had purchased another book by this author and loved the stories in it. I bought this for my daughter for Mother's Day because the stories where from children. I thought it was a very sweet book. My daughter quilits and felt that the patterns in this book were very doable. It is also a nice addition that a CD is included with templates.Arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

Fast read and sweet stories about kids entry in a contest to win a pony by selling subcpritions. They had faith more than some adults. Good historic read. CS
