Does this come with an extension table?

No the extension table comes with the F600, but not the 400. I got one on line for about $80. There are a few advantages to buying the 600. However, for the price difference, I am very happy with the 400.

How many straight stitches does it have?

It has 3 straight stitches - one standard, and two for knits/elastic.

what does "show model" mean? is it better or worse than an unopened model?

Hello,A show model means that the machine has been opened up and used as a demo machine or a display model. It doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't purchase it. The warranty is the same. Just make sure all accessories are in the box.
