Amazing entertainment factor and very well made, , the only thing they forget to mention is that because the beard is definitely handmade, it's kind of just threaded from one side to the other (hanging) so it stands to lose a lot of yarn pieces. Ultimately worth it if you didn't want to wear it regularly or have cats.

Overall I'm pretty impressed what I got with just a few bucks, and a prayer that it wouldn't suck.Good:--------------------*Solid crotched viking hat, the horns terrify smaller animals that dare look at you. Cats see them as giant ears, and think you're some kind of Alpha predator, dogs look up at you and realize that you're a true warrior from across the sea, and children think they look quirky.*The beard made from an unknown origin that mimics the awesomeness of a true Viking warrior's beard, is not very scratchy on the skin and can be worn in a wide variety of climates from the sweltering summer heat, to Northern breezes that could chill a man to the bone.*You can fit a mask over it, and rock the 2020 look while looking manly and health conscious for the general public of peasants and other folk.*You attract males and females from across the globe, many will double-take as they see a true Viking walking in their midst, and many will ask to come over to you and take a selfie.The Bad-------------------------*The beard doesn't look great on everyone without the hat.*Cats are genuinely terrified of the hat.*People will want to try the beard on themselves.Honestly for a cheap purchase I was able to get a laugh from an entire breakroom of bored government employees, terrify a few cats, and have five random people at Wal-Mart come up to me for a selfie. It was good for one Halloween party, and with cold winds it works as an excellent chin-warmer. I don't recommend tying it to the hat, it's better to just loop it around the ears and do a light knot.

Okay, so it wasn't first place, but this piece did help me win. I was a mounted knight from Williams Electronics' 1982 arcade video game Joust. I needed a helmet– specifically one to which I could attach a feather plume– and this fit the bill perfectly.I do like the warmth it provides, and the pull-down "visor" does keep my face warm. I plan to wear this outfit to at least one Renaissance Faire in the near future, and maybe to next year's Retro Gaming Expo and/or ComicCon. Great value for the price.

This is super cute, soft and I LOVE IT! Keeps me warm! However the beard part is to small. The loops to hold the beard are a little to short and causes the beard to feel tight around the face, with me having long hair, it fits well but the beard is just an issue and I really love the beard. If the loops were a little longer or the hat maybe a little longer it would be perfect!Def worth the buy if you have short or no hair and may even work if you know how to knit and maybe make the loops longer! The loop holes are a little small too and placing them on the buttons are a bit of a struggle but overall super nice and cute! I'd give more stars but due to the size of the issue above, I give 3 stars..Otherwise overall 5 stars!!

I was a little worried it would be all tangled based on previous reviews but it was packaged great and beard was perfect! Bought this for a white elephant party where everyone has to gift “something for the head”. Can’t wait to see it on someone!

Almost none of it is actually joined just the hat and a chain with yarn threaded through. It fell apart almost immediately.
