Ginger Sesame Seitan Vegan Jerky 2 Oz - Hand Made - Savory Extra Tough Texture

This Vegan Jerky is officially my absolute favorite brand of plant-based protein! Not being a vegan myself, I can honestly say it tastes just like real meat, but it is so much better for the heart. It is handmade in the USA using marinated, dried strips of seitan that deliver a dry, 100% vegan "cowboy" style snack. If you like a tough, chewy texture that you can really gnaw on, this is 100% tough and perfect for you. The savory Red Pepper Bourbon BBQ flavor is exceptional—made with real Kentucky Bourbon, brown sugar, molasses, and cayenne pepper, it creates the ultimate sweet heat. Their Black Pepper flavor is incredible, and the Ginger variant features a savory ginger and sesame flavor with less heat than the other options, which I absolutely love. Across the board, the reasonable price is well worth the high quality of these 2 oz packs. They are my convenient go-to snack for my busy schedule; I eat them in the car or at the office between appointments. My only minor complaint is that I really wish they came in bulk package deals. They are incredibly popular and sometimes sold out completely, so I highly recommend planning ahead and stocking up whenever you see them available!

Great flavor great texture love this vegan jerky

I took a gamble on this because it had decent protein and was relatively low in calories. I’ll be honest- the best I was hoping for was that it was “okay.” I am not a vegan. I eat traditional jerky. After trying this, though? I would choose this over regular jerky. I love the flavor profile, I dig the chewy texture, and I like that I don’t have strands of it stuck in my teeth after eating. The price is a little steep but that’s also the case for normal jerky.

There's an underlying flavor of ginger and sesame I really liked. But it is overwhelmed by the amount of salt and pepper (and sugar). So while I liked it, I probably won't reorder, unless I forget how over salted it was. If there was a reduced salt version (and w/o so much pepper) this might've been one of the better veggie jerkeys.

Love the Pleather brand jerky. The texture is the most similar replication of classic dried flat jerky (think gas station stuff... oberto, jack links, etc), but actually slightly more tender. To best describe it... when you try to tear it with a piece in your mouth, it's kind of hard to. And I like that! It's not actually tough to chew. The ginger flavor is really great and has a wonderfully juicy soy sauce touch to it. The red bag flavor (I think it's red chili flakes) is still my favorite one though. IMO, this brand is far better than the Louisville brand jerky - they're good, but they're very soft and it doesn't feel like jerky in your mouth as a result.

I read all the reviews before I purchased, but now that I've tried it, I really don't know why this product got good reviews. The Ginger Sesame Seitan Vegan Jerky has a terrible taste/texture and it's really overpriced of the small bag you'll receive. Pass on this one because there are definitely better vegan jerky products available.

I'm not a vegan, but am open to try vegan alternatives for meat, now issue with this the sesame ginger is the texture feels exactly like Jerky that's a plus, but flavor isn't balanced some parts taste decent others straight terrible as if it was over seasoned making it taste to acid like, so imagine you just got a bag of this,& your 1st bite is terrible, 2nd bite is good,& the pattern repeats, all I'm saying is it can be better

Oh my goodness! These vegan jerky is SO delicious! The texture literally reminds me of the real thing! I haven’t eaten meat in 4 years now and about a year ago I had a taste for jerky. Fast forward to a few months ago, I found these and oh my do I wish I had not! 😩 The texture and flavor is EVERYTHING! The ginger sesame and black pepper is my my absolute favorite! You will love this jerky! I wish more came in the bag but hey if you really like something, you’ll pay for it. And I’m going to keep paying for this. I am convinced there is no better tasting vegan brand for jerky than Pleather!
