How to use this product?

Soda Ash is Sodium Carbonate. I use it to raise and maintain the PH level in my swimming pool. It is considerably less expensive than the price of the same thing sold under various brand names. I don't know why the name "washing soda". Although I've read that it can be used to help remove stains. I only use it for my pool and the buckets store well in my pool house.

My recipe calls for cups. How many cups of powder are in here as it is not the same as a liquid measure?

It's a 1 gallon container so it should have 16 cups. I asked Alexa.
