I was skeptical about getting these brushes, because they said all over for acrylic and watercolor - I paint in oils. One place online said you can use with oils, so I gave it a try, and I'm SO GLAD I DID! I absolutely LOVE them. Every single painting I've done in the past year has been touched up professionally with these beauties. I'm so completely happy with them, and would recommend them to all. I'm going to get a second set for my acrylics too.Brushes are made with quality products, that do not discolor with strong pigments. Very comfortable to hold. Base is cut/formed in a slant, so it's a straight edge, that helps with wiping color straight when needed. Very good brushes. Long liner makes signing, tree branches, water lines, etc, all easy to paint and control. Solid hairs that don't bleed colors down. Very good brushes. Have I said that yet? VERY good brushes.

I am a professional artist and I work in oils. I have used a variety of detail brushes of a wide range of quality and material. When it comes down to it, they all lose their shape over time no matter how careful you are with them - the better brushes just last longer and have much finer points.This set gives me 8 usable brushes for the cost of one really good brush and with a lot of care they have held up remarkably well. I find that for oil painting, all but the two longer bristled brushes are stiff enough to hold paint but flexible enough to be manipulated with control. The short handles are nice for me because I initially bought them for a compact, portable painting setup. The bristle tips haven't "chunked out" the way that cheap stiff bristle brushes do, creating an undesirable saw edge, and after 6 months of steady use have not lost any bristles (of course, I am careful not to wash them in warm/hot water, too).As far as oil painting goes (and assuming the quality I received is the same with every set ordered) these are pretty decent brushes for your average painter or for beginners, and perfectly fine for professionals who don't need ultra-fine line work but still need to get into detailed areas and not worry about going through as many expensive detail brushes in the process.

I purchased these brushes as part of my collection for makeup fx. These work well for super detailed work - veins, capillaries, freckles, etc…I would imagine they’d work well for miniature painting, as well.

I paint D&D figures and warhammer 40k figures, and its really hard to find a good lot of DETAIL brushes for a good price. At my local craft store, brushes of this quality are about 6 to 10 dollars A PIECE! Talk about insane. This bundle was a great value for me and the brushes are VERY NICE quality. Smooth strokes, good fibers or hair (looks like real hair to me. :D) and all the brushes are actually weighted very nicely. Deffinately feels like quality and paints like it as well! Very impressed for the price! THANKS! :D

I have been looking for a set of very fine point paint brushes for detail work on the ceramic bisque items I paint. I really like the feel of these handles. They are easy to hold and a nice length. I'm pleased with the bristle amount, shape and size. They are different lengths for control and precision. I thought the price was excellent since I have seen single brushes marked almost as much as I paid for this whole set.
