Chubby Chapstick - Large Jumbo Natural Chapstick - .5 Ounce Lip Balm (Rootbeer)

Overpriced for what it is. But I am a lip balm addict ever since being on Accutane so I wanted to give it a try to see how good it was. Apparently you can get these cheaper from their website, but I went ahead and ordered here to get it faster.I've tried a lot of lip products, and this is at the bottom of my list. It feels too waxy, which is what I dislike about most traditional lip products. It doesn't feel all that moisturizing, I really cannot detect the flavor, and though it is a big tube, there are cheaper options in the same size. Palmer's brand has a couple of varieties of moisture sticks in .5 oz size that aren't developed as lip balms, but work beautifully, for instance. And they are also easily found in local stores. Even Zumbo Kiss, which is still just about as expensive as this, feels much better on the lips and smells better, too. It would seem to me that the addition of shea butter or cocoa butter can make all the difference in how smooth a lip balm is, and this lacks those.Overall, I would not bother purchasing this again. I don't regret giving a product a try on my search for the best lip product, but this isn't it.

This product was ordered at the request of my 15-year-old daughter. I balked at spending so much money on what amounts to wax chapstick but she offered to pay for it out of her allowance so I caved and placed the order. The chapstick probably would have been fine (except for the cost as mentioned earlier) except for the fact that the mechanism to screw it up as it is used didn't work - as in, not at all. There was no way to get the chapstick out of the container. She was so disappointed. I chalked it up to a learning experience for her and her/my funds were returned. She hasn't asked for another one. What happened to the $3.50 Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers? They were great... and cheap!

Okay, so I’m kind of on the fence about this. I ordered this, because TREAT beauty doesn’t have a normal cotton candy flavor, and I need that in my life. So I decided to give chubby chap a chance. I must admit, it does smell just like cotton candy, it’s very pleasant. Smells like freshly made cotton candy, or almost like that burnt sugar smell (which is great) . But I’m very disappointed that it really doesn’t have a taste. For $10 I was expecting it to have a flavor as well as the great smell. Also, the formula is a little waxy (this product is made out of bees wax & coconut oil) . Not terrible, I’ll definitely be wearing it again. But if you’re not into kinda waxy balms, then this probably isn’t for you. Like I said, I’m very torn because I absolutely love the smell of this. But I will say, I would skip this product and for a couple dollars more get a TREAT beauty Lip balm, that is far more hydrating and tastes GREAT.

I love the size of this and the peach flavor is really good. These are the same size as the large Treat Beauty ones about the size of a glue stick. However it is not as smooth or moisturizing as the Treat Beauty ones. These have a more waxy texture and are more like a normal chapstick. I can feel it on my lips and it feels heavy to me. If you like that heavier texture this may be for you and the price is cheaper. I prefer the Treat brand over this one but I do like the different flavors offered here.

I was hoping for a super peachy flavor and scent and you can barely smell it. Doesn’t seem as moisturizing either as a big chapstick I bought in the past that Amazon no longer carry’s. I will try to find another chapstick that’s much better. I’m disappointed.

My mistake for not paying attention to qty. You can buy this direct from the manufacturer and get 5 sticks for $20. This was not a good deal. Buyer beware!!!!

I’m very happy with this product. The cucumber melon flavor is very pleasant and refreshing. I bought a couple of these as stocking stuffers at a shop that was going out of business and afterwards wished I had picked one up for myself. I particularly like the large size of this chapstick. Four stars because after I purchased this, I found it at my local bookstore for less.

I love these chapsticks soooo much. I used to order direct from the company but the ones from here are great too. They last for ages and are super smooth.
