I have medium-long hair and I bought this because all other men's shampoos I've tried were terrible and I was tired of using Pantene which made my hair smell like a chick. This stuff really does a good job and should be used with the stimulating conditioner by American Crew for the best effect, especially if you have longer hair. The scent is really nice, and not overpowering.The only major con is it's a bit pricier than you're generic shampoo after you include shipping. That being said, it's a lot cheaper here on amazon than in the store.

Feels good and it seems like its a good shampoo, just pricy for the little amount in this bottle.

I've been using American Crew Daily Shampoo for over 10 years now. It doesn't have a strong fragrance (which is what I prefer) to it and it doesn't have the typical shampoo residue that many others have. It also doesn't lather up really foamy but it still gets the job done. It also leaves your head and hair feeling really cool and fresh feeling.Recently though, it has been very difficult to find this product anywhere. Yes, the formula has changed (I still have a bottle of the previous Classic Daily Shampoo and compared the formula). However, they both smell nearly the same and as noted above, gets the job done.I notice that there are many different Marketplace sellers of the product (I got mine from BEAUTY IT IS). I bought the 8.45oz bottle just to see and am very satisfied with the new formula. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are probably fake versions of the product as well as the possibility that some sellers may have been swapping the actual contents with some cheaper stuff. I always note the actual seller I bought my stuff from when there are multiple sellers in my reviews

I used the original Vidal Sassoon shampoo in the brown bottle for decades. It had a subtle almond scent and did not contain any moisturizers, conditioners, aloe, or strippers. Unfortunately, they suddenly discontinued my old favorite and started adding heavy perfume, moisturizer, conditioner, etc. to their new shampoo. Year's later a salon in San Ramon, CA used the crew. I loved the scent and how it made my hair behave (cowlicks, curls, etc.), so I was willing to pay the premium price for the tiny bottle. Finally, they started selling it for less at grocery stores, pharmacies, Walmart and target. Then the big bottles started selling on the internet for pennies on the dollar. Crew sells other versions that incl that crap if you like it, but it makes me itch and breakout.

I received something different than what I expected—the shampoo’s ingredients are completely different from the one I usually use and was expecting. The scent is different, the bottle is different, and the formula is different.

I have short hair, and this is a decent shampoo, but it seems to lack some lather. Not sure why, but sometimes I feel like I have to add more. Not a big deal, but I'll probably try one of their other products. I actually liked the Citrus Mint that I had used previously, and never noticed a lack of lather. I'm not overly satisfied. For the price it's not great.
