Would have been a great product
Ordered the set because my wife suffers from Parkinson's and has trouble with conventional utensils. I ordered the set because I thought it would be beneficial.. Quality construction, great, easy to grip handles and the ability to bend the fork and spoons to facilitate her feeding herself. Unfortunately, the weight of the utensils was a bit much for her limited strength, so I have to return them. No fault at all of the product. Her strength is simply too weak for her to hold them. Seeking a lighter weight alternative.

One of the best aids I have found for hand impairment
I recently suffered a spinal cord injury that has left me with my predominant arm and hand paralyzed and my other hand impaired. My occupational therapist showed me these and i thought they might work. They do work and work very well. I am now, for the first time in months able to use utensils to feed myself both at home and in restaurants. I wouldn't have thought 6oz of weight and different position would have made such a huge difference but it does and has truly made my life a little easier and dignified. Once they have been bent into the right position they offer a sturdy fork use and easy to use spoon. They wash up great and don't get dishwasher stained. I have only had them 2 weeks but they are proving to be one of the best aids I have found so far. I have contacted the manufacturer about being able to buy the spoons and forks individually so I have them for use without having to have them washed after every use. These are a great value both from a life perspective and cost.

Great But Handles Can Break
These utensils are great - except the handles can break. The outer handle (grip) broke apart from the inner handle. We slid the grip back on and tried to glue it, but it didn't work. These utensils still seem the best available, though, so we got new ones.

Mom loves these.
These are a nice weight. You can adjust the angle as well. My mom (97) really likes them. She is able to use them to feed herself; giving her more independence. Another plus is that they are dishwasher safe. I should have bought 2 sets to have for breakfast and dinner.

Handy tool for those with Parkinsonโs
Finally.. the perfect weight! My husband has Parkinsonโs and is faced with the challenge of keeping food on his fork. These utensils have just the right amount of weight and a fantastic grip!

Nice handle but spoons too big for eating comfortably.
Nice handle and weight but both spoons are too big to eat with comfortably. They are bigger than average even for a large utensil so itโs hard to use to eat and mom canโt use it.

Utensils that make sense.
I can eat without my food falling all over my plate and the table. I feel human again. Six ounces sounded too heavy but, were, in fact just right. I shake uncontrollably. I have Familia Essential Tremors. These utensils has made any time eating enjoyable again.

Son una gran ayuda
Son pesados. Para una persona con pรกrkinson es bastante รบtil, creo que es mรกs cรณmodo para ellos que un cubierto normal aunque no desaparece el movimiento por completo pero les ayuda bastante.

Works well
It was difficult to bend the fork initially, but my husband had no problem.
