Great replacement battery for my HP laptop.
I purchased this battery for my old HP pavilion DX7 laptop. The old battery would not take a charge. Received the new battery, removed the old, installed the new one and turned on the laptop. The new battery fit exactly into the slot and had enough charge to run the laptop. Proceeded to allow it to charge. The new battery charged to 100 %. All is well at this time. I would purchase again. Great product if you follow their instructions
I read reviews that indicated that the batteries had a questionable life span. I noticed as I opened the package and read the instructions that they were very clear as to the things that needed to be done to maximize the potential of the battery. It indicated that you needed to use it as it came to you down to 2% and then charge it back up. When I did that the charge came back up to a 100%. And it seems to last several hours before I ran out of time to continue monitoring it following the instructions this seems like a really good product.

Does not hold charge
Battery loses 20% charge in only 30 minutes of laptop sitting idle. My laptop is simple, mainly used for word program and surfing the web. Battery loss is excessive in a very short amount of time. I basically have to keep my laptop plugged in at all times to use it, as cordless does not last.

So relieved this worked
I was given an HP Pavilion Series laptop that I'd had sitting on my desk for about six months. My laptop finally died and I tested this laptop out. I was super tired of that blinking light from the battery. Although the laptop worked, the battery clearly needed to be replaced. I held my breath and hoped this one worked, even though it didn't look exactly like the original. Winner! Charged quickly. Blinking stopped. Works just fine if I unplug my laptop.
